Forza Motorsport Review - can it be a GT7 beater?

When it comes to Ray Traycing, yes new Forza is better but when it comes to car intricate details GT7 is better

It’s crazy that GT7 is a last gen game and came out one year earlier than FM 8 yet it still looks better imo.

@@aono335kind of is, it’s a cross gen and therefore slightly hindered by old gen. Fm8 is current gen only. Basically a ps4 tech game running with high res and frame rate on ps5. I’ve played both ps4 pro and ps5 versions they aren’t much different, so gt7 is an old gen engine to some degree.

GT7 is cross gen. Meaning they took full advantage off the PS5 hardware. But, GT7 still looks better than Forza during the day. And Forza looks better at night and in wet weather. Forza 7s daytime lighting looked better than this. Probably because the lighting was baked and not dynamic

Right! GT7 looks better and it doesn't have RT in gameplay. And it's not on the so called most powerful gaming console.

FORZA Motorsport has great car handling and the dynamic weather is enthralling, but the sense of passion is not there like it abundantly is in GT7. FORZA seems to want players to grind its CarPG systems rather than give an immersive experience.

Because there is a bug that screws with the gamma if you change graphical setting and don't reset the game. A lot of people who buy this won't know about this so hopefully they fix it quick. Forza Horizon 4 and 5 required a mandatory restart of the game if you change the graphical settings during a game. Don't know why they just didn't do the same thing here

Not sure about the gamma bug, but I know Digital Foundry highlighted Mugello as being especially washed out. That clip was also captured prior to the day 0 patch.

So, unless it's a clip specifically noted as Performance RT, those aren't RT reflections. Digital Foundry explained this well - they're cube maps sampled at 30fps, while RT is then used to reflect close-by objects and cars. It also does the self-reflection and bounces light colour around more (you can see the yellow of the Corvette on the underside of the rear wing).

GT is so much better in so many ways.Car detail is on another level and that includes Ai cars.Forza has really bad Ai models but GT Ai is exactly the same as your own car.GT has a much better livery editor and photo mode.The weather transition in GT is superior and even Super GT showed this when he was on Forza at one stage it went dark instantly like a flick of a switch.The Ai in GT is much better than forza and that was before the best Ai sophy was introduced. The online racing in GT is much cleaner and always has been. T10 has also been lazy with track development like spa it still has some flat apexes just like on FM7 ,its just a copy and paste not built from the ground up.The steering wheel default is absolutely terrible and thats inexcusable and its obvious what game pass is doing to games and devs.Halo,Redfall, Starfield and Now forza are clearly rushed for gamepass.And after all that i play GT7 with VR2 and if you haven't tried it you are missing out because its taking my gaming to a whole new level. I can get inside all the old classic and get blown away with the details.With GT being cross gen i can only imagine what Polyphony will do with GT8 because they have proven how much Kaz actually cares about details.

What are you judging? You can say it's better in every way, but how many Xboxes will sell? Each system has the best racer for their system, content creator have both system and make content to make money or get attention. I have 900 hours in GT7 and 481 cars, I don't want any more racing games, because I also play other games" and still get my racing fix from GT7. Xbox guys say they won't buy $70 games, but you think PS guys are going to buy a $500 plus tax system to play Motorsport" really" are you trying to sell people on switching to Xbox or trying to get Xbox guys to play or buy the game?

New forza is great I got early access. It feels great the cars feel heavier not so much sliding around
