I did as well! I was really surprised by the size of fish they caught knowing how far they were throwing. Nothing beats local knowledge I guess... Where about in the Transkei did you live?

awesome stuff bru...Did you have any issues with your gosa 20k overall bud? I see in your latest vids u back to your spinfisher
@FishingSouthAfrica2 ай бұрын
Thanks bru, no I didn't have any issues with it. I actually keep it as sort of a spare lol. The main reason why I chose the spinfisher is the spool pricing. I have 2 spare spools for it so until I have the same convenience with the gosa, I'll mainly be using the spinfisher

Maybe do a camping session and also how to tie traces
@FishingSouthAfrica3 ай бұрын
Sounds like a plan and something I’d like to do, but safety is an issue in our country. What traces do you want to learn how to tie?
@justinpillay87193 ай бұрын
@@FishingSouthAfrica ive always loved fishing but im still learning maybe a video to help us beginners, a video about caranteen trace , grunter ground fish trace, how to tie a live bait trace step by step also how to join braid to mono how you care for your equipment after every trip to avoid damaging reels and rods. I live in phoenix and familiar with most of your fishing spots. maybe best times for fishing , simplest way to know where to cast to many complicated videos on youtube. maybe a catch and cook on the beach would also be entertaining.If you can teach us how to fish for crayfish would be great and where. Thanks bru
@FishingSouthAfrica2 ай бұрын
@Justin I've actually made a list of all the stuff you want to learn about. Hopefully this summer season I have a bit more time on my hands so I can get to making the videos you requested bru

It’s always humbling to do good things for the community there
@mrhyde74314 ай бұрын
Great videos, but we stopped giving sweets, the kids run on the road and 1 missed to get knocked down,, the community will hold you and extort you if that happens, id also not give fishing equipment, these locals become very problematic, rather pay for your gillie and that's That, very nice videos
@FishingSouthAfrica3 ай бұрын
Thank you bro, yeah we had an issue a few years ago while leaving mbolompo point. One of the kids decided to run behind the van so close up a hill that if I stalled, I would have rolled back onto him. He refused to listen until I had to say a few choice words. I agree with you about the tackle as well. A gillie broke my dads rod while fishing and we pay so much for tackle that it isn’t worth it, rather just get them to help and leave it at that

Ey bru. My spot for big winter kob was always Mtwalume. Im obviously not nine -tu-tu on what it's like now but early morning Blacktail and shad at the mouth and evenings for those big Kob, caught on Nondi's and them bottoms with sard and prawns for monster stumpies, honeycomb skate and sand-sharks
@FishingSouthAfrica4 ай бұрын
I've only fished that area a few times bru, I think we only caught karo's from the rock and a few shad. How was the safety when you used to fish there?
@markthompson48594 ай бұрын
@@FishingSouthAfrica We used to fish the evening/early early tide shifts so always in the dark to start. We paid the Induna to keep an eye on the car. Half immediately and half after, including a few fish. We were never accosted or had any break ins.
@FishingSouthAfrica3 ай бұрын
That’s actually cheap considering you’re fishing a good spot. The worst thing is come back after a good session and find your car broken into or worse not there at all
