Prefill that filter mate. Although you'll need to tip some out before fitting the filter, the material soaks a lot up.

Re the 15,000klm service interval, that is purely a sales pitch to make a potential buyer think he's making a big save on service costs. Some idiots will argue that if Isuzu quote 15,000 then it must be ok, okay to get the vehicle through the warranty period, but it won't be a long lasting engine. Good instructional!

Sweet video brother, I got a 23' Dmax SX earlier this year. It's currently on 7,400kms. It alternates between normal driving and towing every so often. I'll organise for it to be serviced once it hits 10,000kms. I've been reading on various forums to replace fuel filter regularly as well. Thinking to do that too when my Dmax hits 10,000kms. Thanks for showing where the engine oil filter is, looks like a real pain in the arse spot (typical😂)

I have found as new car warranty I get the oil change done. The interesting point and everyone should periodically check your engine oil level. Check the following day the engine oil level? I read in owners manual it says upper dot hole is max. Some say x mark. Some say upper plastic level. It does your head in lol.

hey mate, the relief vent is in the bottom of the filter, if there is a build up of pressure in the crank case and then can is full of oil itll find elsewhere to leak, always make sure its %100 drained and never pooling in the bottom under the filter as itll wick up the filter and block the filter also causing higher crankcase pressure
@elirobey20522 жыл бұрын
Heck yeah! Ripper vid mate. 15,000km service intervals is definitely pushing the effective lifespan of engine oil, especially when using a small diesel engine. 5000-7500km seems more reasonable in the long run.

FYI…that oil is specced for up to 100000km intervals with appropriate oil condition monitoring. This quality of oil is easily able to cope with 15000km intervals. Fair enough if you want to change it more regularly, but it is not necessary.

@@baronvonaux8294 Sounds good to me too, mate. I’ve read the same thing as well! I change my oil every 10,000 k’s going around Australia isn’t cheap!
