That’s a big one. We’ll cover that more in part two of the series. Hidden repairs are often not that hidden if we are super thorough during home showings. Also aim to get the best inspectors so we can get ahead of any issues. Random items do come up from time to time, but we do whatever we can to avoid surprises 😊

Lived there from 2007-2018. Its a dieing city living on an image it had many moons ago. Out of 25 artists I was close to when i lived there only one remains in the city limits and only because she has a sugar daddy. Artists and hippies being able to thrive were what gave it it's charm and character. Now its sunken in mere survival of the masses and corporate profits.

Chances are that I will be moving to Austin for work... already working remote for tech there... I get being from Chicago (born and raised) might offer a bit of culture shock however I look forward to the experience... after a year contract in Singapore / Malaysia you couldn't get hotter / more crowded than those places and I loved it... Austin might be a good place for me...

The iron rod fence would be a turn off personally, we prefer to have privacy especially when we're playing with it dog or just have family visiting. The office would work if it was a 4 bedroom house. We currently use one spare bedroom as dual purpose. I really liked they had 3 bathrooms! That's a huge plus for me

Head to the suburbs and you'll find $1 million homes that are around 3300 ft.² on an acre of land and everybody's lot looks like that. So worth it. Austin doesn't seem to know what to do with her homeless population. It's pretty creepy!

I'm an Austin transplant and have lived in Bastrop for a year now. My neighborhood is newly built and is planned to mirror the Mueller area of Austin. You highlighted Bastrop perfectly in your videos but actually need a 3rd!!! There is just way too much to cover out here which quite honestly has been so fun to stumble up on. A couple things to add is the Bucees gas station, all the tiny one horse towns that surround Bastrop. Which make fun day trips by offering specialty boutiques or amazing diners, there's back roads to continue the fun into Lockhart and the growing Gruene area. Lastly, because Bastrop is east of Austin it takes me 40-45 minutes if I am driving to South Austin, Arboretum area or Round Rock. Its definitely a diamond in the rough. Glad you enjoyed the city! And thank you for showing its true charm.❤

It's still the methy place with a high school that has problems with teachers sleeping with students, etc at the core of it. Lipstick on a pig. Power of these bs yt vids too.

Austin used to brag that they were the "Live Music Capitol of the World." Being a musician myself, I always thought that was goofy. But since the pandemic, the mural art which promoted this has disappeared and been replaced by weird stuff having nothing to do with music - and I don't even understand them any more. The bar district - which was the center of the music scene - was crushed during Covid and many bars were sold off. That area is actually experiencing a rebirth of non-bar businesses. SXSW has been in Austin for years. Not like it used to be at all. It's become a pathetic gathering spot for left wingers with an axe to grind about everything that is not left wing. Bring in Hillary Clinton, Michelle Obama, and others (forgot their names) instead of great *bands* and have them pontificate about how racist America is and blah-blah-blah. And the parking fees to go down town for a "show" are like buying a concert ticket. Forget the whole thing. Yes the "light rail" is pathetic too. That was a brain child of the Austin City Council, by the way. So dumb. Almost *nobody* anywhere uses it. Trains are empty almost every one, every day, both directions. Dump the thing. And upcoming work on a *tunnel* and a new raised highway? Oh, pahleese. It's like building a California "bullet train" in price, with small utility and enormous pain coming.
@skyfinancellc9538
@skyfinancellc9538 Ай бұрын
Couldn't listen for the whole video - but did you mention that the Austin City Council is (IMO) one of the biggest reasons to leave Austin. Austin seems to have been gripped by the same kind of can-never-lose-control-of-the-government "spirit" that the state of California suffers under, whereby it's extremely difficult to stop the left-wing progression of *Communists* (literally) who are taking over the government. I am not kidding you. And the Austin City Council has become like the Politburo of China. This is huge-huge-huge. The Austin City Council has become a literal *curse* to the city. And there seems to be no way to "vote them out" because their supporters just keep moving into town - presumably from cities which have already fallen to the Communist regime in that previous state. This is no joke. I know haters will discount this, but they probably don't live here and haven't actually seen it up close.
