Bastrop reminds me of the friendliness and community of Austin 10 years ago. A cool little downtown.

Thank you for sharing this video. We were set up at the Bastrop 1832 Market. The Ol" 403. We had microgreens, spice rub and Smoked salsas. Also a big thank you for your purchase of our smoked Salsa Verde!

We moved to Bastrop because of the small town feel while maintaining the proximity to Austin and the airport. Wonderful place to live.

I love hearing this! Which part of Bastrop?

Neighbors kitchen is an area called Alley B. You need to visit at night and during the weekend to get the full effect of it.

Nice to see a well presented and shot 'explore' video. I'm located in the UK, but my Texan girlfriend & I discovered Bastrop in May and totally fell in love with the small town feel. It felt like home and we are both sure it will be one day. Thank you for your two excellent videos.

My family and I usually stop off at that Buc-ee's on road trips and the museum was really cool the one time I explored it; Bastrop ftw!

Buc-ee’s is a MUST for literally any Texas road trip! 😂 🦫 I recommend checking out the rest of the town of Bastrop as well !

@@AustinTX I also used to go to Bastrop and Buescher State Parks and they were both really lovely. There's actually a nice scenic road (not the highway) that connects the two parks, and if you buy admission at one of them you can get into the other one for free.
