Oh, that is just plastic plumbers tape- it won’t scratch anything, and it’s flexible. You can find that at any hardware store, such as Home Depot,Lowes, Ace hardware ect.

Sorry you hated it. Well, had to throw SOMETHING together… in the future, I’ll try and actually put together some decent music, instead of just messing around with the guitar while recording … I was more thinking of this was just for background music… it IS a lengthy video series to have traditional “music” … and the stock music KZbin has available to use, is worse than, well, this background music in my opinion- stay tuned for the upcoming videos. I’ll definitely put more effort into it 👍🏻

Stock Impala SS tire size 255/50/17 in the rear they are 255/40/17 in the front, only because I got those tires in a trade. They are z-rated Pirelli p-zero tires from my dads camaro- they only had 400 miles on them… all highway mileage hahaha ( silver state classic challenge in ELY Nevada is 90 miles) Eventually, I’ll get a matched set. But for now, it has Pirelli in the front, and Hankooks on the back

@@tkong35 you can buy a Z28 cluster, but the pin put connector is different from a F body (camaro) to a B body (caprice,Impala) you can wire your own adapter pigtail, with a wiring schematic, but it is a lot easier to have Gary M do it. He re builds the clusters as well. I believe I listed his contact info allready in one of the comments, but if you need his email, I can look for it . I’d go that route. All rebuilt , re painted needles, ect and ready to install. He said he can do different colors too. Like a white guage face and blue needles… I almost did that, but wanted a more subtle factory look, and went black, red needles, with white LED bulbs- glad you enjoyed the video 👍🏻 I have more videos to edit, and put up there, but have been busy working on the new shop

It came with the modified cluster- Since the f body (Camaro/firebird) gauge cluster, pin out and wiring is different from the B Body, it needs to be re wired to be able to plug in, and work correctly. You can do this, with a electrical schematic, that you can look up and find out what pin, goes to the corresponding guage… or you can do it how I did- and search online for “Gary M, z28 guage cluster swap in B Body” and you can buy one all re built, and ready to install… it was under 500.00 will everything- ready to go. Saved a ton of time that way- Sure, you can go and order the new Dakota digital cluster with the full sweep gauges and all- but this one, looks period correct and is half the price

The stock tune from torqhead works great! Better than it was, stock. Keep in mind, this is a stock 350 lt1- but with this set up it runs much smoother, throughout the entire power band- I diddnt have it dyno’d, before and after, or anything- but with the better management, it feels like it’s making more power and running much better than it ever did . I bet it picked up a easy 20 hp. The only thing I had to have tuned, was the pulse signal for the tach, on my 94 z28 cluster swap, so it would read accurately- as it was reading about 1000 rpms off (lower) but that was separate from the torqhead kit. So yeah- right out of the box, runs great

@@CaptainFreedom308 great to hear. I'm keeping my motor stock as well, and was worried that the tune would be rough. Definitely not looking for more power, just trying to reliably eliminate the optispark.

On a side note: In September me and my number 1 copilot (dad) averaged 22 mpg on a road trip from Washington to Nevada and back . Not that I care all that much about MPG… I’m more about Smiles per gallon… but cruising up and down mountain passes, mixed city driving and highway miles… averaging 21-22 miles per gallon, with premium gas, in a 4600 lb V8 car loaded with stuff- I think that’s pretty dang good. Far better than my 2005 2500 HD Silverado - the wagon has a real high gear ratio. I think it’s .290’s or .300 or something around there. So I’m cruising at pretty low rpm’s. I think I was at 1600-1700 rpm’s at 70 mph or so. The truck, weighs more, and has .410’s also, so that’s not much comparison… but I love cruising in the wagon. Definitely my car of choice, when on a long trip - or anywhere else for that matter-

My uncle John, has a box full of those bearings- he’s the machinist in the video - you can google the part number, that is stamped on the side of the bearing- the part number reflects the size - and get one- via amazon, or eBay, or any parts supplier like Tacoma screw- ect. If you can’t find one, I can ship you one - I hope I showed the number needed, in the video - if not, let me know- I’ll check and send you a reply on which exact one you’ll need 👍🏻
