Hi, nice sounds, can you please tell me how you get the velocity low in the first milimeters of pressing a osmose key? I try to use the pigments with osmose, but the sound is 10% present when I press the key only 1mm. this would be very helpfull. Its relly awesome to play pigments with osmose

Is it possible to create a beat and play on top of it in summit? I need a polysynth with onboard fx and to be able to play a synth on a beat and an arpegiator any ideas? Thanks for the video. Great content.

Keyboards looks great but I’m not impressed by the sound, the preset doesn’t really push the potential of the matrix engine. They should offer the way to use in easy way all the Eagan matrix patches made for the haken, then it could be a game changer. Strings are poor and artificial, it should not be with the power of the Eagan . 49 key is bad too , minimum should be 61 except if you want to use it for one hand . The software is just a labyrinth, not friendly at all and will make you lost your time if this one is precious to you. the e osmosis team also lack of communication. That a pity, this device is unique and deserve much better.

been a year or more and they still havn't released a smaller version of just a midi controller.. hundreds of ppl have asked for this.. what are they waiting for? their sales would skyrocket. clearly not thinking, a lot of us can't afford this crazy price range. if they made it just a midi controller with packaged software priced closer to the Seaboard that would be great.

The thing with Neumanns are that they are not as "hyped" as some others like ATC, Barefoot (Neumann actually used the "magic" mid dome from ATC and decided to ditch it). That's great because the price is not hyped too. The truth, neutral sounding monitors, once you get the mix good on them it will translate on other systems. Yes, FLAT is good, seems like kids nowadays want HI-FI speakers in their studios. Nonsense...

Literally everything about your set up is what I've been wanting for a few months. 310s with a pair of auratones. Was gonna get the 310s without the subs bc I didn't think I'd needed the sub and would prefer not to add the extra cross over and then having to phase align the satellites with the sub...I thought the 310s alone would be sufficient and if not I'd add only one sub. But these perform so well with the added DSP and the lowend gets really tight and controlled. I can hear every reverb begin and end. What kind of sound treatment are you using? I have never seen cylinders of sound treatment being used like that. Could you post info about that? Why did you place your cloud so low and why did you set up everything on the short wall?

I fail to understand what this audio is demonstrating? whatever the viewer is listening through, first of all that is what they will be hearing the sound of, plus the sound of the mic etc etc. Is all we are really hearing hear is an EQ curve, and not one that correlates in any real way. Speakers are far more than an EQ curve. This test is flawed at every turn, surely? I have Neumann 310's and this does not sound anything like them.
@Zenvo-uu9tm5 ай бұрын
This video is NOT meant to reproduce the playback in a transparent way, but give you a relative perspective between flat 310 and 310 paiRed with the dsp correction against the wav file. Check how when the dsp is engaged the sound is tighter more detailed and defined compared to the flat 310 setup. Even if it's not a true representation of the original playback itself it still reveal enough differences in tightness and definition and can give you a solid idea. The perceived enhanced definition can not be obtained by a generic eq curve only, it's compensating for phase alignment and room reverbation also. Tighter more defined reproduction usually equate a better mixing setup. I disagree that it's not a useful video. It gave me enough info to consider ordering a kh750 myself, run a test in my own room, and ending up with similar results

@@Kirk-Monteux-Production UPDATE: Starting production on it now. If you want an idea for how it's structured, I should have a video on my channel called "beatmania THE SAMPLES". I have one question though, some of this gear, we have no way of obtaining it. We provide a demo of how it sounds on it's own, then show the song, cant do that if theres no way to emulate it :(. so, by any chance, do you still have the gear or midis? could check the patches? Specifically for the MKS-50, Proteus/1, SE-1, JD-800. and Moog Prodigy (ik Prodigy doesn't have patches but good luck finding anything from Moog in the 80s). That would mean a lot! Man I hate saying this but I'm going to say it: this sounds better than my OB-X8...27:34 is a better example of that patch than I'd even be able to tease out of the OB. Add the beautiful fx, multi timbrality, a sequencer, huge mod matrix and 24 voices for the same money? A compelling case. As for my Hydrasynth Deluxe, that's probably going up for sale this weekend...seems like there may be some blue in my future...nice demo!

I am trying hard to decide between the OBX8 and 3rd Wave. Biggest off putting thing for me re the OBX8 is price considering it does bi timbrality really bad. It more ment for layers than 2 separate sounds. Thats way to expensive per part for me.
@bobneumann978111 ай бұрын
Only thing I see missing on this would be a ribbon controller just above the keyboard.

I have the Hydrasynth Deluxe. Ribbon controller is cool but I haven't found a ton of practical application for it (probably because I've never had a synth with this feature and am just not used to using it. I usually forget it's there!)

Gary Wright used a ribbon controller on his Poymoog on the Touch and Gone album. Hard to describe unless you hear it. Actually on the title track solo he just does some slides but there is another track called "Night Ride" which is more of a polysynth guitar solo that he does with the ribbon controller. Unbelievable. @@skysavvydrone

Wonderful instrument. I have had a Korg Wavestation since the 1990's and still appreciate how ahead of its time that instrument was. This would take that to the next level for sure.
@Philandthesynths8 ай бұрын
You are absolutely right, I had a Wavestation as well and still have a Wavestation in rack and now the 3rd Wave! And indeed some of the moving sounds you can make with this instrument ressemble a lot to the Wavestation. One huge advantage of the 3rd Wave is the ease of programming !

not implementing PA keyb was a huge mistake. I think thats also the reason module has been realesed so fast. Still im wondering if half the knobs on module make the control the same as kbed unit. I guess not so why have they did that? the most expensive parts are internals not control board with knobs?

So many great sounds in this demo. Would be a great board for someone wanting a synth that can do massive amounts of sound design that can sound digital and analogue, or both at the same time. Certainly wouldn’t recommend it for a beginner or early synth enthusiast since the learning curve is a 90 degree angle straight upwards.
@Kirk-Monteux-Production Жыл бұрын
Actually the layout is very straight forward even for beginners. Also the printed manual that comes with is fantastic and easy to read.
@AnalogFunk Жыл бұрын
Maybe it's just a weird angle, but it looks like your control panel is angled up more than normal on the 3rd wave?
@downpatmusic Жыл бұрын
The interest comes from the multi layers. It seems like synth makers are going for this a lot not. Moog One, has 3 layers, 3 synths in 1. Nord Wave 2, 4 layers. Korg Wave State, 4 layers...You can create amazing sounds with 3-4 layers on almost any synth that has separate effects for each layer. The virtual analog part of this synth's sound is a big part of what makes it so attractive. Not only do you have the wave table, but you have this very good analog sound with the analog filter.
@OneMountainNine11 ай бұрын
That’s what was/is great about the Kurzweil K series last few operating system releases. Thirty two layers with the drum programs. Easily used for samples and waves. Add FUN’s and sky’s the limit. I imagine the VAST would be great with a better sampling rate and the headroom it provides
@brunodadivore96068 ай бұрын
Yes, true. With a good computer avec some ridiculously cheap vsts I can layer untill ... a lot of sounds and work to get thick sounds like that. The limitation is the quality of the audio chain output. The result is greatly sufficient to me.
