I got into purdue applied math honors. Im from india and i havent heard good things about purdue math. Do you think going to purdue will be a good choice? Im not afraid of the rigorous curriculum tho. But i just dont wanna have a bad experience with profs and classes, given the money ill have to pay for an education at purdue.

A student was stabbed to death by his roommate in this dorm last year. I can see how it would have been difficult to escape given the layout of the room. Horrifying!

Hey I got accepted to FYE but didn't get any scholarship which is making the choice seriously difficult...I'd really appreciate advise for financial aid options as international student like on-campus jobs or stuff. Thanks...

Thank you so much for the video! It was an amazing one! So, from what I have been told so far about PU that it is very difficult and challenging. Is it for the top students only? How do students survive there? It is been so many years since I graduated from high school and I plan to go to PU for my electrical engineering (BS)

also- is there any option to have a single in a suite as a freshman? (engineering/athlete) but you don't want to be TOO far from the building where training is? Not sure if you have feedback on that thanks

What about for athletes? Is there a LC for that or where do the freshman athletes usually live or where/how would you request to be closer to your team-mates?

Are you planning on working as Wells Fargo after graduation? What are your thoughts on the company as a whole?
@simplyNimal2 жыл бұрын
For the first question, I guess you'll have to wait to find out haha. For the second question, I think Wells Fargo is doing a great job in improving their tech stack and focusing their efforts on cybersecurity and AI for their products. It's also a great place to meet really accomplished people in the banking tech sector, which was something I did not expect at all.

@simplyNimal2 жыл бұрын
Congrats Joseph! I'd say the biggest tip would be to go with an open mind and just be willing to learn and ask questions without hesitation. Ultimately, have fun while you're doing it and explore what your city has to offer this upcoming summer. I did this for SF and it was definitely a blast.

Research Wells Fargo’s values, be good with star based questions, and know your resume like the back of your hand. Also if you’ve worked with any frameworks or technologies listed in their job description, make sure to highlight that.

Nice to see someone work at Financial Institution. I use to work Wells Decades ago but not in Tech area. Benefits were good then. There Stocks were really good too. I work at the HQ too. On California & Market street. Good Luck there.

Some observations and counter-points: + very well spoken, so many people today for whatever reason do not communicate well + advice to establish a base in learning multiple languages by utilizing pseudocode to learn how to do the same thing in different syntax environments - coding bootcamps are often very shallow. They ALL start out enthusiastically, but inevitably at some point the instructor loses focus and the project falls apart

Hey I’m about to be a sophomore at Purdue and I was wondering are you studying computer engineering or just computer science because this year I’m in the school of electrical engineering and am considering double majoring to do both computer and electrical engineering or maybe go computer over electrical and I just want to know do you feel like Purdue got you ready for this internships like I feel as if I go more computer I’ll mess or won’t understand the material no mater how much effort I put in and not be a good employe when I graduate and have a job, just wanted to know what’s your experience been like! Ps Been watching your vids seen my senior year of hs and love your content
@simplyNimal2 жыл бұрын
Hi Moeyad! I’m studying computer engineering since I liked the software aspect more than circuits. To be honest, classes at Purdue can only prepare you so much for the industry since the technologies used may be different from what you’ll learn in class. However, some of the classes I took at Purdue gave me a good foundation of what to expect and learn at my internship this summer. As a SWE, it’s expected to learn on the job, so don’t feel bad for not knowing everything because the company will provide you some sort of training or resource to help you understand the problem or technologies at hand.
