Skarpskytter ;) Mye torsk i videoene dine.

@PASKSpearfishing

Hei Marius - Takker for hyggelig kommentar.

Wolffish are amazing, but at the same time the thing i probably fear the most while freediving lol. I have this place I love to freedive. just get to my neutral buoyancy depth and pull myself forward by the small boulders, lots of cod, coalfish, pollock etc there. Until I came face to face with a 12-13kg Wolffish. I genuinly fear it popping out and biting me when nesting :P
@PASKSpearfishing
@PASKSpearfishing 3 ай бұрын
The wolffish is generally not aggressive towards humans. However, aggression can occur if it feels threatened or is caught in fishing gear, but under normal circumstances, it prefers to avoid contact with humans. Keep your distance and you will be fine🙂 Take care and dive safe🤿

Hi, and thanks for your comment. It is very common for the male wolf fish to puff up and twitch his jaws when you get close. It's like a warning not to get too close. The fish is not harmed in any way. The fish I shoot (Atlantic cod), on the other hand, ended up on the dinner table.

Hi, and thanks for your comment. On the west coast, in central Norway, the water temperature varies between 4 C (winter) and 20 C (summer). In this video the temp is around 15 C, and yes I use a 7mm suit.

@PASKSpearfishing Жыл бұрын
Hi Alexander Rules and age limits for freediving and spearfishing can vary depending on where you live. You may want to contact a local certified dive center or organization for the most up-to-date guidelines and age requirements. In addition, I would recommend that you take a course in freediving so that you become familiar with the risks this sport entails. I wish you the best of luck :-)

@PASKSpearfishing
@PASKSpearfishing Жыл бұрын
Thanks... There are two things you have to watch out for when diving here: Boat traffic and fishermen on the bridge. The currents obviously vary with the weather, wind and tides, but I have never experienced conditions that I couldn't handle at this spot. Having said that, I don't go spearfishing when the conditions are bad.

The Wolf fish has few or no natural enemies and does not normally flee when approached. It is usually not aggressive unless you attack it first. It is actually possible to pat it on the back without it reacting, and that is exactly what I do in this video. But due to the narrow format of "Shorts", it is unfortunately not shown here, but if it is of interest, you can see it in the full format version of the video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jYeYfpV3l5V6mas Thanks for commenting...
