Would it be easier to drop subframe lower , lets say on stands or some sort of support. And just remove it and just bolt up.

No, realigning the subframe bolts is a pain and a half no matter how carefully you drop it and raise it again. Just drop the front two bolts like shown in the video🤙🏼

Which year srt model rear end did you get & all you did was get a set drive shaft or just another 5.7 driveshaft bro??? Curious so if i do it myself i know what needa be done so i wont have to double back😅😅
@JesseBusse27 күн бұрын
Came out of an 07 Magnum SRT. The driveshaft came with the rear end because it is different as mentioned in the video. The RT driveshaft is a 3 spline while the SRT is 4 spline. It fits into the original driveshaft that connects to the transmission so all you need is the rear section with the carrier bearing. Hope this helps🤙🏼

@JesseBusse2 ай бұрын
Probably not but I'd imagine it's a similar job to replacing rear gears on anything else. Pull the axles and dif cover, pull the gears and put in your new ones, refill with dif fluid using the top plug. If the gearing is different you'll have to get the car tuned. Hope this helps

Did you notice a difference in the horsepower gain?
@JesseBusse2 ай бұрын
Not horsepower but definitely in throttle response. In combination with the headers was a game changer for letting this engine breathe
@5.7_Angel2 ай бұрын
Do you think I should just buy the intake off k&n to see actual horsepower gain?
@JesseBusse2 ай бұрын
@@5.7_Angel not sure what you mean, this is a K&N intake I bought second hand. You might gain a couple horsepower but it's negligible, placebo mostly from the gained throttle response. It's more of a supporting mod for more power in the future. Hope this helps🤙🏼

Hey Jesse, I love the content. I have owned three magnums over the past 15 years. They are great cars, but they will nickel and dime you for sure. Everything you’ve done to your magnum, I’ve also done to mine plus a bit more, about $30k on parts, paint and body, and labor. I plan on keeping it and passing on to my son one day. Keep up the good work.

FYI what you called the MAF is the MAP (connected to throttle body)…the MAF is on the left side of the engine next to the air filter. Great video! Just want viewers to be clarified 🤓
@JesseBusse3 ай бұрын
YES, you're right! Thank you for the comment! I just learned this recently when doing some research for a video that should be coming out after a while. And there's actually a third sensor in conjunction with the second sensor the reads the actual intake manifold pressure. The order goes MAF on the air box, MAP on the intake pipe going into the throttle body, then the baro (barometric) sensor on the back of the intake manifold🤙🏼
@takemeasicam3 ай бұрын
@@JesseBusse the barometric sensor, is that the orange “nipple” inside the PCV? I had to clean that sensor to clear P0171 I believe was the code…claimed my cat converter was too lean but was just a dirty sensor lol

@@takemeasicam no, that's just the PCV (the part I had to recently replace). The barometric sensor is on the left side of the intake manifold itself

I just got one i heard the plastic pieces on the aluminum water outlet will eventually leak because of course the pieces are plastic hooked on an aluminum part.
@JesseBusse4 ай бұрын
Not sure what you're referring to. The only plastic "parts" are the temp sensor and the outlet for the evap hose. Either way, those are significantly more serviceable than the water outlet itself
