Is the trade part of the test done by the same testing company or did you have to schedule it through someone else? I’ve been trying to find where to sign up for both. Also I have a practice book I ordered that I’ve been working through but it tells you what type of questions and what books they are out of. im sure the real test doesn’t but just for fun I’ll ask anyway lol does the test do the same or you just have to kind of figure it out? I’m the most stressed about the business and finance part of the test.

so in florida all you need is a hvac contractors liscense and no masters ? I know other states you need a masters

same exact thing happened to me TODAY. 61.8 ran out of time. went to two schools, on line classes. studied hard. both schools said.."we don't teach the math because there's only a few questions on math" BS!! I had 25 math questions! knew I failed after guessing on the math and ran out if time anyways. so even if I knew the math would of failed. insane. 6.5 hours isn't enough time. should be 8 hours. 4hrs take 15 break.. 4 more hours. they don't make it fair. 80% fail rate? why do that to guys who want to do the right thing and get the license!? anyways Like you I'll keep going!! GOOD LUCK 👍 CGC

What if the heat pump breaker is fine, but the e-heat breaker won't reset, (I realize it could be a bad breaker).
@VictorofHVAC2 жыл бұрын
There could be multiple problems. Continuity from ground to the bad component would tell you the answer 👌. Sounds like something is grounded. That is if, the breaker won't reset when power isn't present. But then again it could be a weak breaker too
@kriswhartonful2 жыл бұрын
@@VictorofHVAC Thanks, any idea where I should start looking? I'd rather not replace the 50 amp double breaker only to find out something simple is just grounded...

We have a 11 month old Trane and over the past month or so have noticed water leaking onto our filter. The company that installed sent a tech out two times, one taped the insulation in the unit and said it is being caused by condensation on the coils, it continued to leak. The second tech cleaned the coils but water is still leaking onto the filter. Wondering if you think we may have a leak in the coils that may need this replacement?
@VictorofHVAC2 жыл бұрын
Condensation leaking onto the coils could be a number of things and could also be tricky to diagnose if not taken into consideration of all factors. I wouldn't be able to point you in the right direction without knowing the situation. Good luck Debra, hope they get it figured out. 👍

How much if your work requires heights?

I'd say 20 percent requires heights but that will vary from the area your working in. For me it's only when I'm working on a commercial rooftop unit

Nice job victor can I retrofit one of those units from 22 to 407? Also what should the pressure be on low side thanks man.
@VictorofHVAC2 жыл бұрын
Thank you. Yes you can retrofit it to 407c as long as you remove the r22 from the system and start fresh... I'm assuming your talking about the pressure on the low side with r22. With a healthy filter and return/supply air, you should be around 70-75 psi but that can vary with the return air temperature... Hope this helps man, Goodluck
