Hey deathy, would love to see some content where you watch lower rated players matches, and then you coach them up with tips and tricks and such. Could let your stream subs submit vods, then you pick 1 every week or something. Can even do a “guess the rating” type series like chess youtubers do. Im alchemist 1 and I try to apply stuff I learn about the game from online content - this is my first moba - but I feel stuck at my rank rn. Live coaching would help me, personally. Just an idea of course, you do you in the end. Just love the game and you’re my favorite dl content creator, hope you’re doing well.

Hey thanks for the video. I ended up quitting Deadlock a few months ago due to rampant aim-botting. Is that still a problem they are struggling with or have things calmed down a bit now? I think about this game every day I'd love to come back to it lol.

I think larger and fewer patches is what the game needs right now. I got exhausted trying to keep track of all the changes with the fortnightly updates, because it takes time to learn how to use each hero and which cards to use for them, while also not having as much time to devote to gaming as I used to. It also pretty much made KZbin videos obsolete 2 weeks after they were launched, meaning only the most current were up to date given the constant changes. I decided to wait until the heroes and cards are more or less balanced and left alone before I will come back, but I have been keeping my eye on the game all the same, as I really enjoyed playing it.

I followed your Holliday build and had trouble. What am I missing? Barrels seem easy for the enemy to avoid. are you meleeing after dropping the barrels point blank?

Gun Holliday isn't bad, it can become obscene when you build it properly, focusing primarily on crit damage and fire-rate. Her Gun damage scales very well, (200 damage per bullet) and can be hitting 1k per headshot late game. It's just overshadowed by how strong spirit holliday is right now with infinite juggling bordering the exploitative.

Deathy have you noticed the strategy of going behind the walker (on the outer lanes) to damage it? I fear it may be too powerful as the walker doesnt beam you and it is easy to get away. With lash and pocket you can pretty much take walkers for free

Hi so for a while I feel like certain heroes don’t need a buff or nerf stats wise but how their skill works. For example Bebops bomb it’s AoE activated skill so you dont need to aim. Personally I feel like you should have to aim and were your crosshair goes the bomb goes. The same with Warden Last Stand its an AoE but the hight goes up enormous and is invisible. They atleast need to make that visible. We have the grapple of Yamato that goes through everything. I feel with its range it either should be non targeted or its range shortened. There are probably some skills I forget. Was curious about what you think about this?

interesting to see Deathy not mention rabbit melee build when someone is on Rabbit form, they receive by default 29% damage amp. you should use Cold Front and eventually LifeStrike for extra slow, building around melee, build similary to abrams. it's super strong than bolt as you can guarantee hits, definitely the most annoying character to face, however i have not seen anyone use his rabbit form around this. It does fall off at late game due to resistance, but thats when you get Echo shard. People seems to build around getting melee damage and forgetting slow move items such as Cold Front specifically.

Great video, thank you! I really like the style of your tier list and I have one possible suggestion. You talked about "taking over the server", what if the "viable, strong, very strong" would be more along the lines "how easily does this hero take over the game". Though that might fit only dps and maybe tanks, I'm not sure can supportive role become too strong to deal with if ahead.

I like to play some sort of support Seven. It is probably not viable at all between actually good players, but I like to build him for long range slowing and debuffing by hitting the enemy team with 1, adding heal penalty, slow, and damage amp on the enemy team. The ultimate is my least prioritized skill since it requires me to be close.

I'm uninstalling this awful game. Bringing the experimental characters over to main has just made it unbearable. They completely ruin the game and it's just not fun anymore. Every round is a 30-minute waste of time with no redeeming qualities whatsoever. The lore was interesting and cool but now it's just bad. I have no idea how they're going to appeal to casual gamers with a product that takes this long and has such a steep learning curve with only a sense of bitterness and disgust as your middle-finger of a reward when you realize how much time you wasted with it.

I find that Wraith is extremely underwhelming in public games. Her laning isn't particularly good because she has to focus on cards and now they build up very slowly, on top of falling off massively past laning phase, her teleport is inconsistent because it csn get dtuck on the slightest edge in its path snd any ability like swap, grapple or mo ult track through the teleport and still hit you. Her full auto doesn't do a whole lot other than just a fire rate increase button, which is very disappointing as an ability (its just a vorung button) and in public games it's very difficult to get value out of her ult unless you're point blank with the enemy and you can burst them down. Otherwise its very likely that they can either outrun the ult or escape after beung hit by it

I do think your thoughts are little bit off especially on characters like Holliday. As you haven’t played the character to understand her kit as well. Especially, when you didn’t realise that the stuns only come from the first time you use the jump pad. For an example, the juggle can be parried and if not she gets shut down pretty quick. Her gun too is really punishing to use compared to guns like vyper and calico which are way easier. I do think doing up a tier list requires a good grasp and understanding of the characters before it’s done

4:50 each holliday bounce pad only gives her one use of the stun/damage but the sprint speed and bonce are repeatable.

if you want a tip on holiday, instead of using the corner you can look straight up, stand still and stack about 3-4 in place then walk them through it. a lot more reliable but the downside obviously you're standing still looking up lol. side note doing this also tends to stack the bounce so it can launch an enemy higher than a majestic leap

Seven is so shit, I only played him bit recently switched to warden and he's so much better, even if I'm not the strongest warden I can actually get some kills, today I tried seven with a different build and he's still shite, absolutely raped in laning, completely useless hero

Not a chart, but here's a list of each character and what they typically build around: Abrams: Gun/Melee Bebop: Gun, but can swap to spirit if they get a lot of bomb stacks early Calico: Melee/Spirit Dynamo: Support/Spirit Grey Talon: Spirit Haze: Gun Holliday: Spirit Infernus: Gun Ivy: can build Gun, Support, or Spirit, though I tend to mostly see gun Ivy in matchmaking atm Kelvin: Support/Spirit Lady Geist: Gun or Spirit, though I tend to see more gun Lash: Gun or Spirit, though I tend to see more spirit Mcginnis: Gun Mirage: Gun Mo & Krill: Spirit Paradox: Gun Pocket: Spirit Seven: Spirit Shiv: Gun or Spirit, both are really strong Sinclair: Spirit Vindicta: Gun Viscous: Spirit/Melee Vyper: Gun Warden: Gun or Spirit. Gun will likely be more consistent in matchmaking, while spirit can be more impactful in organized play Wraith: Gun Yamato: Gun or Spirit. Both are very strong Your best bet when trying a new character is to take them to the sandbox and test out some builds until you find something you like :)

Calico is my favorite but I really like Magician and can understand why he's not popular. He's tricky to understand and if you're not building him right or don't know what to do with his abilities he can feel incredibly weak which explains his low pick rates and low win rates on tracklock. For anyone considering trying to get better at Magician I highly recommend buying Magic Carpet early. The major issue that I have with him is that if you get caught out and don't have your assistant already setup to teleport you out of there you can easily get eliminated. Everytime I have gotten magic carpet I can be more aggressive and helpful for my team and then get out of there when I feel that I need to.

Vyper is still an issue, any character that can casually burst you from full to 0 health at 15 minutes into the game is an issue. Lost a game earlier which only lasted 17 minutes because the enemy had a Vyper that pretty much carried.
