Rich, I think you could put on the helmet (with bombs going off in the background, looking like a badass) climb into the cockpit of an F-35 and immediately know how to fly it. Your call sign would be “checklist?”

Rich my man, thanks again for another great ride along video. The M600 seems to be a slick platform. Owners in the comments echo that sentiment. Any plane is “mass” production these days has to be getting something right most of the time a lot right. Mucho gracious on the content sir. Fly safe.

So a TC Bonanza would probably smoke the Cirrus in same test, no?
@FlyingwithRich
@FlyingwithRich Күн бұрын
Maybe not smoke, but I think it would outrun the Cirrus. The Cirrus out limbs the F33 and accelerated faster but once in cruise the F33 stayed with it. F33 is a 5 seater so I thought it was an interesting comparison. The A36 is a different passenger experience so not a closely matched with the SR22.

Nice video but you didn't mention much about performance. Only that it's a nice flying plane with big doors, roomy cabin (wider than a Skylane), useful load... Nothing on speed, fuel burn, endurance etc. Also, they're great for a lot more than the distance you stated. Anyway, just my 2 cents worth. (Full disclosure, I have a 75RG and I can go about 1,000 miles at economy cruise if my bladder lasted that long. I routinely do 150mph at about 7.5gph.)

Technically you can get ME with 525 Type Rating, but as part of the check ride, you will have to use a conventional twin to feather a prop. I have done a couple like that, but insurance can be an issue.

11:54 Hi Rich, what's your opinion on the Phenom 100? How would you say it compares to the Citation?
@FlyingwithRich
@FlyingwithRich 3 күн бұрын
I think a great airplane, but the 100 did not get the traction in the market like the entry level Citations (Mustang and M2). They had some early issues with brakes that hurt them, and just didn't have the product support like Cessna. Embraer did very well with the 300. Mustangs are holding there value very well, and Garmin continues to invest in updating avionics as retrofit, and Cessna supports them very well so to me, strong case for the Mustang or M2 over a Phenom 100. Thanks for watching!

From what research I've done, Cessnas have famously bad retractable gear. Several flight schools sold them at a loss after encountering repeated failures, and Cessna retracts don't hold their value as well as their fixed geared counterparts. Beautiful looking machine, but that gear would make me wary.
