Music and movies are easy, they're passive. So basically, they hate games because they suck at them. Sounds like a *SKILL ISSUE* 😏

Anything that doesn't contribute to progressing yourself, your family or society is _technically_ a "waste of time". But, fortunately for me, I don't exist _solely_ to placate *everyone else.* And it's funny, because these people who say these things about video games, by my knowledge, don't know 7 languages, have several degrees, 3 jobs, nor do they hold multiple patents for several new ideas. Sounds like _they_ are the ones who need to start doing things more _prODUCtiVelY_ with their time. Something about stones and glass houses. 🤡🌍

To be fair, gaming is quite literally a waste of your life if you play them every day like most of us do.

In my experience video gaming is looked at negatively if you look like a typical gamer that stays inside all day and unproductive or live that lifestyle. If you look like you hit the gym, eat healthy and just so happen to play video games, it appears from the outsside as its just part of your life instead of IS your life.

I love Rex, his journey and his wives Pyra, Nia and Mythra, and their children Mio, Glimmer and the child with Mythra obviously, simply Rex is the best character of the Xeno saga for me and the most important that even Mio in Xenoblade 3 and Glimmer in the DLC stole the spotlight as female characters hehe <3 <3 <3

Video games was pretty much the only thing that interested me as a kid because I have autism and now I'm in my 30's and I still have not found anything to replace it, so I've pretty much just stuck with it my entire life. When I was in school in the late early 90's and early 2000's I didn't feel like I was an outcast because other kids knew me as the kid who knew about video games and computers, which wasn't mainstream yet in my country, so honestly it helped fit in a lot more, it made me interesting to the other kids and gave me a kind of personality. In addition it helped me learn English which was of great help as school work was insanely hard for me. Sadly it's not like that anymore and now I feel like an outcast and a loser for only being interested in videogames and nothing else

As a gamer myself, I'll consider gaming to be an accepted part of our society when you can mention it as being one of your hobbies to women when you're trying to date and not have it be something that makes them lose interest in you or that you have to compensate for by having an otherwise awesome personality/life.

I didn't even think about the scene that way where the gang knew about the third sword before Rex new about it. I did find it weird that after talking about it with Zeke's dad, that gramps just said "alright let's go, I know where it is" and NOONE said anything about that 😂. Makes a lot more sense. Great vid

Ouroboros higher state of interlinking is transforming people into blades. It makes sense that it is based on Pneuma and Logos core crystals, because they are masterblades, according to Klaus himself they centralise all data from every other blade. That's why Noah and Mio are so powerful. They can transform into a blade using the combined power of Pneuma and Logos.

In XC2 base game I changed the options to have the meters charge faster so I could do cool moves more often but also increased the HP and damage of enemies for the fights to last as long and be as challenging. It worked great. I think this is what the devs did with Torna.

Everything is Entertainment. Watching TV, sparkling time with family and reading books it's all entertainment and the same is true for video games. Why don't we hear stop watching TV or stop reading, they're essentially the same thing? It's the stigmatism that older generations have that video are a kids toy or bad for you. If you strike a balance between everything, who cares what you do as long as not harmful. Except Call of Duty. Jk. (Sort of)

1:31 in the Spanish translation, Rex says: "Si ellas dos estuvieran aquí..." "Ellas dos" means "those two", but "ellas" is used only when all the subjects are female, otherwise it would be "ellos" (All male or mixed). that means he's definitely talking about Mithra and Pyra.

I really dont care if anyone hates gaming. If some guy came over to me while I am playing something like Bloodborne and talk shit, I would just ignore and keep playing. Gaming is about accomplishing and having fun. Whether you are playing Minecraft with friends or Kicking Gwen Lord of Cinder solo in Dark Souls. Gaming is meant for everyone. Its also the best memories personally. Mainly cause I played so much skylanders with my brothers as a kid.

I come back here, I think not just as a hobby gaming needs more respect but how many people do you know who still do not respect the grit of getting good at a video game? compared to how many people you know do not respect the grit involved in getting good at a sport, so many people I try to share with are like "It's a game" or "Anyone that good is addicted" (normally other gamers who say that who are not real good which is fine but respect the effort someone puts in to get good at a game) addiction is real to just saying to

8:40 that is a non issue. I like video games despite being really not good at so many of them. I still like the Contra games even though I am really bad at playing them properly. My timing is always off the charts and I misjudge enemies movements. Same for fighting games. But in couch co-op this can be a fun thing to experience and to see how I start to synchronize my play style as time flies. I like video games since they did their magic on my during the 80s. When I saw these arcade machines for the first time. Dig Dug, Pac-Man, Xain'd Sleena, Wonderboy in Monsterland. Man this did it for me. Also playing the Atari 2600 was kinda weird and fascinating. The NES, The Sega Genesis/Megadrive, The PS1, N64 and so on. I saw and experienced it all, even owned many of them myself. You don't have to be good at something to enjoy it. The overall appeal matters and what connects you to it.

Video games still have a stigma because the majority of people still thinks in competitive patterns. Video games are seen as a threat to sports activities, overall human health and social & political propaganda. People playing video games are more immune to outside nonsense. They shield themselves away from harmful nonsense we can hear, see and experience every day. Most humans still think that theory of evolution means to compete against ourselves on every level. Of course this is nonsense and neither what Darwin ever meant nor what every evolutionary biologist ever claimed. But humans are humans. Especially with this competitive gaming we have for over a decade now. This makes gaming now look like your ordinary game show. An entertainment for people that can catch a glimpse of what gaming is about when watching these competitive apes losing it over video games. And that makes gaming seem wrong. Let's say I was born twenty years ago and I would have seen these gaming competitions as a young man. I always knew that this competition among humans is neither evolutionary nor healthy in other ways. I would have avoided playing video games entirely. Bragging rights? No thanks. Social and political agendas? Leave me alone! People bringing those stigma about themselves. Gaming was never more than a nice niche. Now every jerk wants a part of a cake that is artificially bloated. And everyone can watch and wonder why we are wasting our time like that. I stay out of this competition BS and play games for fun and personal experience. Nobody ever calls me a loser.

"Video games are a waste of time" coming from hollywood and new york people who, drink, smoke, hire "escorts" and get venereal diseases spending ludicrously crazy amounts of money on drugs, go to clubs to sit around with other people or dance mindlessly, binge eating to the point that people have mental conditions based around vomiting, spending money on beauty products and spending hours in the bathroom, people who visit rich people islands to commit "leisure based crimes", not to mention the people who waste their lives being workaholics (which is it's own form of entertainment as toxic as that is) all of this cutting their lives short by about 20 years, and some risking jail time for their habits. If this is being an adult, adults should be imprisoned! People who play games are the same as people who read books. We just don't waste time on the weird quasi-suicidal crap you guys do. And by "you guys" I mean losers. Ugh.

This scene is anything but overlooked, it's a core part of the hero's journey: The fifth stage on the Hero's Journey is the Abyss, or disaster. In this stage the character goes through some major loss. This may be nearly dying, *failing to save others,* being imprisoned, *dishonored, seriously injured, robbed of their Supernatural Aid,* or on occasion all of the above. The Abyss is the major turning point in the story when the hero is broken down to an all-time-low.

I think a minor amount of gatekeeping is always going to be healthy for any arbitrary circle of interest. Some people just shouldn't be allowed to take over discussion of certain topics and lowering the common denominator of a fandom dilutes what makes it unique. So as much as the waste of time argument annoys me, the people making it are generally people I wouldn't take advice from anyway. Keep them out.
