Seriously, I know I've mentioned it a few times, but this straight up reminds me of the soundtrack to the game Lisa: the painful. Or maybe something like earthbound. Man... Lisa the painful had one of the most creative soundtracks in a while, along with the hotline Miami's. Hard to recommend that game though, unless you have a few free days to be depressed after beating it. Still haunts me to this day. Great jam. The cowbell and gunshots 😂 Edit: in case you don't feel like sifting through 97 tracks on the lisa ost, the track I'm thinking of is "Boy oh boy" Edit2: while I have you here, highly recommend the tracks "bathhouse theme" and "666 kill chop delux" I forgot how much I love that stupid soundtrack.

@@GeorgeL909 lmao glad to bring the good memories again.. I'll have to check those out for sure! Thanks my dude. The gunshot is the shotgun from quake 3, if you're curious 🧐
@GeorgeL90916 сағат бұрын
@hexwavemusic ohhjj man. quake 3 has a super underrated soundtrack. I think it's because the default volume of the music is cranked way low in the vanilla game, so it gets drowned out by the sound effects. Seriously. It's not Unreal tournament, but it was actually some good baby industrial, with a surprisingly creepy vibe. I think it gets overshadowed by the other quake osts because Trent Reznor in 1, and Sonic Mayhem was cranked way up in the Q2 default settings.
@hexwavemusic14 сағат бұрын
@GeorgeL909 Yeah I can't really say I remember the soundtrack... Honestly I probably muted it because that's the kind of game I'd blast my own death metal or something while playing 😌 I'm sure that now with my greater focus on electronic that I would appreciate it.. On another note I just listened to boy oh boy and definitely see what you mean haha! Also I put on an extended one apparently and forgot about it and then realized I had been listening to it for fifteen minutes 😂

Hey yeah! I like that this didn't sound like that "elektron" sound, aside from the retrig effect. I love this one. The poly meters are so uncanny and delicious. It's got an eerie but also oddly friendly feel to it with the melodies. Like walking to a delicious 1950s American diner and smelling all the comfort food, by everybody there is weird and claymation and designed by Tim Burton. They're nice and all, but they're clearly undead or weird ghost zombie people, and it's just hard to get comfortable. The food was great though. I give it four stars. The diner that is. The music was 5/5. P.s. Nice pitch sweep near the end.

This is absolutely fantastic. Love the horror sci Fi vibe to it. One of my favorites, for sure. I have little what to add except that you're killing it with January. Here's a story: Elektron recently posted a strange video promoting some kind of concert or convention, but it was very vague with no explanation. Someone in the comments goes "ok, but what exactly is this?" And I replied "obviously it's a sex thing." I felt so clever. I laughed to myself and rubbed my hands together. George L you're a comedy genius, I said. Elektron deleted my comment as it was flagged as inappropriate. This is the story as how I may have gotten soft banned from Elektron's KZbin page for being a grown ass manchild 😅
@hexwavemusic7 күн бұрын
LOL well done 😂 You were too on the mark, I think. Ever wonder why Elektron uses a k instead of a c? It's because the letter k, if you rearrange the lines on it, can sort of almost become an x, which is the last letter of sex. Then if you notice, the "k" comes right after an e, which if you notice is also the letter before x in sex. Where's the S then, you ask? How about the last letter of their forum? 💣🤯 (Thank you for your marathon through my jams and nice comments, super appreciate it 😌💜)

Why would anyone mix two genres? That's ludicrous and honestly absurd. Genre mashing is a cheap and low effort way to attract attention and views. Low hanging fruit, as we like to call it in the music elite circles. (I feel like in have to clarify that I'm kidding, since this is the internet. I actually really enjoyed this track and think that hexwave is very talented. I only tell the truth in parenthesis.)
@hexwavemusic7 күн бұрын
How dare you sir? As the first person to have ever mashed a genre I am offended that you take the wind out of my sails thusly and I think you should stick to watching tutorials and leave the commenting to musical professionals! (I'm also kidding, as you are the Lord and master of mashing together about 40 genres a second into each moment of your 24 hour long tracks that you put out 3 times a day. I like your idea of only telling the truth in parentheses so I have taken it for myself and it is now mine, and as that is in parentheses, it makes it the truth and therefore cannot be refuted. I am also the Terminator and a multi-billionaire and I live in a mansion between worlds accessible only via blood portal.)

Dude this is wild. We went from Grandma playing organ at church to watching LA burn. I don't know if this is more a testament to the versatility of the synths l, your skill as a musician, or Petite Victory's bonkers prompts. Next prompt; cat and dog have a respectful disagreement about immigration.
@hexwavemusic7 күн бұрын
😂😂 I bet they put those prompts back to back just to throw us off 🤔 Well, the machines definitely are versatile, but the only talent here is my buddy playing guitar haha! The rest is just noisy preset picking and slapping crap together and calling it a day 😂 Though I have to take partial blame for prompts, as I was one of the two or three people that put in insane suggestions that they ultimately picked from to torment the rest of the group 😁 I'll try to remember that idea for next year 🐕🐈😤
@GeorgeL9097 күн бұрын
@hexwavemusic never forget, some of the very best songs of all time were just noisy preset picking and slapping together things. Britney spears and silent Hill both use some of the same samples from distorted realities by spectrasonics, in many cases almost completely unedited! And yet, one of those is extremely seductive music that gets my blood flowing, and the other is Britney Spears.

This was great. Loved the night time version. Definitely there's a ghost outside the pub that if you talk to enough times will give you a free elixir. I remember when I played the old final fantasy games they used to have "tonics" and I had no idea what those were in real life as a kid until years later. Nobody calls them tonics where I'm from. For the rest of my life though every time I drink something carbonated I secretly pretend it's a health restoring potion.

@@GeorgeL909 Thank you, it was fun to venture a bit into a more traditional kinda cheesy video game track for the prompt. Old NES and GB soundtracks are engrained into my soul from listening to them pretty much 24/7 growing up 🤷 If you read the flavor text on the potion, you should be a bit careful, it seems normal but if you drink it you actually have a chance of being poisoned 🤢 Honestly I wish more drinks were served in round flask shaped vessels, it would greatly enhance my enjoyment.. and I can't keep drinking orangina every day 😓
