He better love and cherish her. That story about Grandma and Mama having a vision got me side-eyeing him, but I love the podcast, lol. The Grandmas do be knowing.

I do not have children, but this resonated because there are tasks that seem to be relegated to me just because I am a woman/wife. However, I reject a lot of it and voice that I am not available. It can be overwhelming to keep information stored in your head about your partner and his family. Or simply being called on to figure things out. It is mentally exhausting. I will say that when I voiced these concerns, my husband understood and did better. Conversely, I find that some women are responsible for their own labor because they feel like it is up to them to do all the things. I have friends who actively take on everything as if they don't trust their spouses.

22:21 Yeah, we have been told that "Africans think they are better, and thats why they dont like us." So I decided to ask one of my customers (then I was a (Wolly World cashier) and the conversation we had was sooooo impactful. ❤ It began my journey to dismantling long held beliefs that were perpetuated since childhood.
