My GRDi ADJ button had the same problem (freezing the camera), but a small drop of rubbing alcohol and than rotating/pushing it many times fixed it, at least for a while. If the problem returns, just clean it again. I bought mine new with the OVF and wide angle lens as a kit. Black and white jepgs and ISO800 is where this thing shines. BTW the new GRiii is about the same size (the GRi and ii are a little bigger).

Solid video…👍 I see you use the same technique I tend to use, shooting from the driver’s seat. While I prefer to get out and “work the scene” , it is not always possible, busy traffic, private property, an area where you might not be welcome or could prove hazardous to your health 🔫. I have compiled these images into a series called “The Driver’s Seat”…, though I thought about titling “Drive By”, but for obvious reasons, I decided against it. Lovin’ these vids, you Rock!

Your getting some good results with that DF96 you must be warming it up? I didn’t have good luck at room temperature with it.
@DozierGraphic19 күн бұрын
was thinking about doing a video on it and since you asked I probably will. But yes, I always heat to 80' f for box speed, and 90' for pushing one stop - all using constant aggitation (starting with first roll at 3 minutes - I always add a minute or so just to make sure the fixer has done it's job). I will add that I don't like to push two stops because you have to go to 100' and I don't like it being that high. Probably doesn't hurt anything, as color is developed at 103, but I feel like I find a nice sweet spot at pushing one stop and using 90' - There have been a couple films that don't seem to take well with DF96 (fomapan for one) but I don't like foma anyway lol and I would never go back to two/three-step developers after using DF96. Thanks for the question!

That's awesome! Thanks for the compliments. You're going to love the 645, just don't try to push the shutter with no film in the camera - when I first got mine I pushed the shutter to check the rapid fire and it locked up. Took forever and a lot of googling to fix it! Bright viewfinder and just fun to use! Enjoy!

@@DozierGraphic Ouch good to know, big thanks for the heads up! I actually tought mine was broken when I first got it and nearly sent it back because it wouldn't fire. No lock-ups yet though, but glad you mentioned it so I can avoid trying that again, haha. Cheers!

@@DozierGraphic Most of the time I shoot with a Canon 40d, EOS M and recently was given a Canon EOS T2i by my stepson. I have over 100 film cameras, my film main camera was a worn out RB67 ProS until it gave out. I've been keeping my eye open for another nice body. I have a Mamiya Standard for 6x7 with a 90mm, a Rolleicord VA type 2 which may be my very favorite, various other medium format and a number of Canon EOS 35mm, several Elan models and five or six Rebels from the 90s. I picked up a whole bunch of point and shoots when people were dumping their film cameras. Some of them are pretty decent. I'm a drawing and painting artist, but learned to use cameras for documenting things. I don't have much stuff on youtube and no good videos to speak of. Mostly what I posted is just so the model could see what we did.

On the snap only setting, I assume you are going to get some high ISOs on cloudy or low light conditions, and as a result, some noisy photos.
@DozierGraphic23 күн бұрын
not a lot of noise in this sensor, plus it's street photography so a little grit won't hurt. But honestly not much noise at all with these settings.
@don711723 күн бұрын
@@DozierGraphic I find the sensor noisy in low light/high ISO. For people who don't mind 'a little grit', it's no problem, but I like nice clean photos. As a result, I don't use my GRIII in low light settings. I REALLY don't like noise 🙂.
@DozierGraphic23 күн бұрын
@@don7117 Just making sure you saw these night videos - there's also noise reduction in Lightroom that I'll use if needed. And those that call it 'cheating/etc' don't stop to consider the digital camera itself is 'altering/editing' the image as the camera brain decides it should be (if any of that makes sense lol). kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZoeTfZJ6aryMsLMsi=ZLPDMQ_5_ZZGW4Xw kzbin.info/www/bejne/f4uZpJ2larV2b80si=bITNLwAVefaG7tNT

@@DozierGraphic Great photos! I really like the look, and I agree there is nothing like red neon at night! You definitely made them look nice and clean. As for fixing things like noise in post, I see no problem with it. No different than adding noise, fade, blur, colour shift, LUTS, or any other effect in post. I think my problem is that I am a little spoiled with my Sony FF. I like to crop as well (I suck at composition), which will sometimes to show more noise on an apsc sensor than a FF sensor. The GRIII is definitely a great APSC camera, and an engineering marvel with how they fit all that technology into a form factor the size of a deck of cards. My problem is I absolutely HATE noise (unless I add it in post ;-) ), so perhaps I am a bit more sensitive to it than the average person. So, for me, it is a very niche camera that I primarily use when travelling, in good light. At night when travelling, I use my Samsung phone, which I find does a lot better in lowlight conditions. Not as fun to use, though. Again, love you photos. The composition and post processing was spot on. Well done.
