I love my tb7!! I've had it for 2 months now. The rear sway bar gets caught in the body, I bent the bar in a little bit. Loctite the screws for the 3 braces on the rear towers.

I reckon if you stiffen up that rear sway bar and get some weight over the rear end, it should handle whoops and quick jumps pretty well.

Have you looked at the Cross RC UT4 a jeep like Ultra 4 buggy, still waiting on shipping as since the decoupling and Chinas financial melt down and countries collapse. so my dozen or so parts are on the slow train to where I know not where.

I have had my TB7 FORD Bronco R for nearly five months now, and it is a toss up between my much upgraded TRAXXAS UDR and this one which I have added a few upgrades it is a real drivers vehicle and handles a little better than the UDR having a wider wheelbase, quite a few UDR upgrades will fit ie Vitavon alloy wheels and UDR trailing arms front 'C'hubs to name just a few. I use it more than my 30degrees North SDT which is a Super Baja Rey clone a cross between the V1 & V2 better thanV1 not quite as good as the V2, back to the TB7 I added a foam wheel and rear light bar and changed the light sequence so rear on all the time front two on seperately so either amber in the grille or roof light bar white light, it is quick with good brakes I did up the punch. You can get alloy axle, top links mount and axle end bearing inserts.

I did think some parts would be interchangeable, but as you have confirmed it this would help a lot of people when it comes down to part support. Unfortunately, I've not had my hands on a UDR. idk about this one in terms of realism. ive seen the real ones and there's definitely somethinf off about the dimensions. do you think this body would fit over the losi hammer rey ? think it might just be the wide stance thays throwing it off visually.

@LeBlanc10 I've never seen the actual BRONCO trophy truck in reality. I'm not sure if the body would go over the hammer ray. This is a 1/7th scale. I don't own a hammer ray yet 😂

@@thercstore. the hammer Rey is listed as 1/10 but it's almost as big as the udr. maybe 2 inches shorter end to end and similar sized tires. I'm sure I could extend the wheelbase if needed with longer trailing arms. I wouldn't get one if you are hoping to drive and bash like you did with this one. haha I'm considering getting rid or mine for that reason or moding

@@LeBlanc10 Its to do with the weight balance. As I had this issue with my YamahaYXZ1000RSS side by side on high jumps it would nose dive. When the rear arms were stretched back (extending the wheels base) it fixed the issue. No doubt the same applies to these on a much smaller scale.

Looks ok. However, I think those that are set on a UDR will still go for the UDR. It's realism that people go for. But it's good that there is a choice as the Mojave has long been the other option. Good stuff!!

@@thercstore. UDR was great. But my opinion. Not suited for proper bashing. Hence why I swapped it out for the Mojave. You really can’t send a UDR off a ramp without breaking something. Especially rear trailing arms. But I guess it depends on how you want to run it. Wasn’t for me. But looked fantastic over the bumps n rubble. Drove wicked.

@Soney_Manic Totally agree these ain't really designed for bashing, neither is the mojave but yes I can see why you would bash the Mojave. I tend to use the trophy trucks on the field /track a few light jumps. I wouldn't send them, but that's me. The next video with this car it does go jumping 😅 and on track!

Man that looks epic! I’ve been looking for a great desert truck that’s not as expensive as the UDR and this just ticks all the boxes! Not sure about the plastic bulkheads/shock towers, they should be alloy. Thanks for a great review and want to see it run!

@stephenpheonix6549 I think it's a great alternative if you want to save cost. Shock towers seem fine after it's first run. Yes, alloy would have been better, but then again, it's not a car that's used as a skate park basher. It's more of a field, sand, dirt track car, with the odd jumps, I guess. To be completely honest the build quality is decent. The crawlers have been better than most known brands. That's a statement but on the channel they have proven their worth hence I brought this. Parts support is available however it is overseas currently if there was enough interest in the UK I don't see why they couldn't place a dealer here. Running video out Sunday!

@@thercstore. Believe it or not but I'm still running the same optional speed gear that came with the rc with no problems.. The only thing I had to replace on mines was the steering servo which recently just started to get weak

My stator failed on my 6th run.. was perfect before that(no moisture at all)? Hobby shop replaced & he told me he has sold 30 and 1+ mine returned from driving in wet grass. I think I'm putting silicone on mine.

@aussiedigger1441 it seems it's a common issue. Loads have failed 😕 absolutely love this bike! But living in UK it's always wet and damp. So i hardly take out nowadays.

Im currently stuck between the sonicwake v2 , the spartan sr or the new traxxas Disruptor.... All Self-Righting all look fab.... what would you recommend

I've not had a chance to use the Disruptor. The only down fall with the sonicwake is the turning circle. It turns better one way than the other. This can be fixed using a longer rudder. As seen in this Video the spartan does take on water, Also the hull cover seems to fly away too. I personally would go for a Pro Boat Sonic wake v2. I don't think you will regret it. But it is a personal choice. the sonicwake in this video took no water on what so ever. In terms of speed I believe its quicker too!

@@csrrr_7762 I used a 1500mah 30c 3s plane battery in this because I had one laying around. But it won't give you much run time. 1500mah. So maybe a couple of packs? They can be brought from any good model shop.

@RC-Closer1313 Yeah, 100%, I agree. I used this gearing for a tarmac speed run. So it's definitely geared to high for grass. Shame that! As it was quick on the field. I'll have to down gear it.
