We finally done it! We bite the bullet and brought a Traxxas XRT at an incredible deal from wheelspin models.
In this video we take it out for it's first run. Never used or seen a XRT moving in person so I didn't really know what to expect out the box! It look amazing as far as radio controlled RC Truggy Trucks go!

See told you it would get hot… stay away from grass because of the chassis… it drags on the grass pretty heavy. If you gear it up and run on the grass… it’ll cook!

@RC-Closer1313 noooooo this was an issue with the battery adaptors. I swapped them out for another set, and it's been fine. I only realised this after the video when it came to disconnecting the batteries. I do mention it in a future video.

Im really close to giving in damnit LOL. My collection needs either this or an updated Xmaxx. Ima truggy guy and the XRT has lass issues because it's lower to the ground and has less chassis flex. And, I have seen some wicked power upgrades for the XRT as long as you ground pound as you stated. Yeah, ima get one. You see this Traxxas salesman? Y'all are fortunate the market is crap and flooded with minis.

@spenn2007 Honestly, it's a great car! As an RTR out the box XRT over the XMAXX for me. However, I have both, and they both have their place! XRT is more suited to the Kraton style of driving, but a lot smoother and forgiving! However, the kraton has all that drama and is wild! It's similar but yet so different! Xmaxx is more suitable for them big jumps! But it needs a few tweaks to be perfect. M2c Propshaft upgrade, HD spur and pinnion.

it doesn't have the kind of stability with performance you get with the mighty HoBao Hyper SST 8 scale truggy 🤔 To be be honest I don't think the traxxas is worth the price tag 🤔

I've not used any Hobao to be honest. But it cant really be compared as its a complete different class. But it would be interesting to see what the SST8 is like against a Kraton 6s EXB 🤔

That grass is going to heat that motor up big time… grass isn’t ideal for the XRT at all brother… I have three of them and have cooked a motor running it on grass😳… that’s the only reason I’m letting you know👍

@speedtrapRC I've run mine twice now, this video, and the next video that's out soon. I ran it on grass and a gravel track. Overheating issues fixed. It was bad battery conversion plugs. On the last run, it ran like a dream no over heating.

@nateeedoggg Firstly, thank you for supporting the channel 🙏🏼 It's really appreciated. I have many rc's, but the Big Rock 6 is one I don't have. I have the Big Rock 3, and that thing is fantastic for what it is at the price point it is too. For me, it depends on what you're going to do with it? Skate park bashing? Grass runs? Or just an all terrain basher with the odd jumps? This will help you determine if it's the right car for you. Sorry I couldn't give you my honest thoughts as I've not had a go on one. But it's the 6s platform. The main thing they suffer from is the chassis bending if you're planning on launching it. I do have a exb kraton 6s and a 6s mojave they are wild!
