thanks a lot, I've been walking regularly and slowly got myself into working out as well, now I want to incorporate running as well. My ankles seem to go numb band my breath is heavy, but I am working on it slowly!

I’ve done this without knowing that it’s a real thing. I have done 3-2-1-2-1 running splits twice in last two days with 1km walk between each running set. Means I walk 4km and run 9km. I know it will allow me to build up my stamina without over pushing myself and reduces the risk of injuries. I intend to increase running distances and drop to 0.5k walk between each running set in future once I’ve upped my fitness.

I've been ice bathing/showering for years, six years actually, then I suddenly stopped. No idea why, but I can say I discovered I was doing it for self motivation mainly. It is indeed something you want to do to get a strong kick, boost your positivity and enhance your tolerance. I've heard it was good for recovering your muscles post-training, but maybe I've noticed a bit of stiffness though... I'll try to start again and follow your leads 😅 let's see if I'm still capable! 🥶 Thank you for sharing your experience

Thank you for watching and taking the time to share your experience! Let me know if you start again! It’s funny because I had a similar experience in 2023. I did it every day for 3 months and just stopped and don’t recall why. Good luck!

I save the plastic bags from the grocery to use to stay dry before the race starts. It's light, you can remove it and toss it to a volunteer once you warm up about a mile into the race.

What about rubbing Vaseline on exposed parts in the cold rain?
@yesroh

Cycling has a lot of great rain solutions. I mostly bring out my bicycling clothing when I run in the rain. Cyclists deal with much harsher conditions.

A black hat isn't very visible. I bought a neon-green hat for running. I use it in a regional marathon because a lot of the race goes very close to traffic, and if one runs away from traffic, there's a slant to the road that causes a lot of stress on the legs. So I dress in bright clothes and run closer to traffic.

Can you do an extension of this video showing how you would transition the 100ups into a run or use it when running naturally?
@TheRunExperience
@TheRunExperience Күн бұрын
You can use this as a knee up drill before a run to prime the right patterns of movement or think about the components of this drill in the middle of a run when form is failing eg upright, arm swing, lift feet. Thanks for suggestion

Brent Pella did a funny video about this last year, his ‘watches AHube one time’ video. Personally I just do a cold shower. Simple, easy. And I don’t particularly respect the Hubes after finding out about his double life. I’d respect him if it was an open marriage, but it wasn’t. Just straight up thinking women were second class seducing them without giving them the truth of his other relationships. (imo) I don’t like that type of dude bro who just uses women and wastes their time.

Hey Brent! Thank you for watching! I’ll check out that funny video! Can’t wait! I didn’t hear that about A. Hube yet! Tough call because knowing that about a person changes how we see them. I do respect the science tho.

My nose burns bad when I use my nose? Any tips? (I don’t have a dryness issue)
@TheRunExperience
@TheRunExperience 2 күн бұрын
Burning sensations in the nostrils when breathing in through the nose can have several possible causes, including: 1. Dry air: Breathing in dry air, especially in environments with low humidity, can irritate the nasal passages and cause a burning sensation. This is more common in the winter when indoor heating can dry out the air. 2. Allergies: Allergies to pollen, dust, pet dander, or other allergens can cause inflammation in the nasal passages, leading to a burning sensation when breathing in through the nose. 3. Irritants: Exposure to irritants such as strong odors, smoke, fumes, or chemicals can irritate the sensitive lining of the nasal passages and cause a burning sensation. 4. Sinusitis: Inflammation of the sinuses, known as sinusitis, can cause symptoms such as nasal congestion, pain, and a burning sensation in the nose. 5. Respiratory infections: Infections such as the common cold or the flu can cause inflammation in the nasal passages and lead to a burning sensation when breathing in through the nose. If you are experiencing persistent or severe burning sensations in your nostrils when breathing in through your nose, it is advisable to consult a healthcare provider for a proper evaluation and treatment.

This video saved my running! I've been suffering from knee pain that only starts a good few minutes into my run, but stopped me from running for more than five minutes before the pain was too much. Now I massage my quads and calves for a few minutes before I run, use the percussion massage gun, a few dynamic stretches and I'm good to go! Thank you!

First thing you have to do is strengthen your stomach muscles, if you have no middle body strength in terms of muscles, you just cannot run Thats what you need to work on Most runners naturally have strong inner core muscles, and people who are over weight do not These people cannot run, as they lack this inner strength, and thats what you need to work on. ie muscles in the centre of your body. Being over weight you lose the strength of the muscles in that part of your body Its why over weight people cannot run, or do jogging, they have no inner middle body strength.

Whoever’s reading this, give me some advice. I can run 3-8 miles from 8 minute pace to 10 minute pace and it feels the same. I can’t do “conversational pace,” because I keep running at 160 cadence no matter what. I dont get what I’m doing wrong and it’s getting very upsetting. I run run run run run, but I can’t get any better. My 1 mile pace tops out at 8 minutes even tho I can keep that pace for 5-8 miles. What’s going on with me? Am I holding back? Is it mental? Is it form? Is it muscular?
