This movie was good. But I admit once Greta Gerwig isn’t in it, it gets a little bit on autopilot. But other then that an interesting story plus the performances are on point.

If "Saturday Night Fever" isn't a masterpiece, then why does your main character become so obsessed with it? He certainly hates "Grease" with the same lead actor, so he's not being fanatical towards Travolta for it's own sake like some shallow teenage fan with a crush on their idol. Raul may be a disturbed killer, but he's not a stupid or aimless or unthinking or even purposeless one.. Because he sees clearly within "Fever's" portrayal of sad and very tragic lives a prismatic reflection of his own personal condition under fascism, and in the way "Fever" cryptically illuminates Pinochet's dictatorship by way of it's own powerful critique towards the illusions and oppressive lies of capitalistic American "freedom". He clearly quotes entire passages of memorized dialogue that has nothing to do with dancing, and more to do with the controlling delusions of organized religion. .And Tony Manero is not "redeemed" in the film. That is an egregious distortion of the film's denouement; He is at a psychological crossroads, neither good or bad, and in many ways he is still stuck deep in a dead-ended and very conditioned consciousness, like your own main character. Bad call, Mr. Lorrain. You 're not thinking too clearly. And here's the most twisted irony of it all. The longevity of the film you've made as your film's Rosetta Stone ( the merely "good film" that you do not consider a "masterpiece") has already far outlasted the longevity of your own.

So sorry to hear about these difficulties with your uncle. I had a chance to briefly work with him and it was a positive experience. I've dealt with other filmmakers and photographers and can say that he had a gift for putting subjects of a film at ease. Yet it's not surprising that a person who's so comfortable behind the camera wouldn't be at ease in front of it or, indeed, when the focus of any sort of attention or affection. All the best in your work and life.

Oh my God, the treeless mountion film really tauched my heart, I didn't raelize I was shedding tears, because the two little girls still need parental love but because of selfishness of their parents they entrusted them to their siblings by giving hope an don't know when their parents will return. Their parent.
