Everything I've heard about PASM is that it's so stiff, it's unusable on public roads.

Regen is the better alternative to using your brakes. It is best used on long decents where coasting freely is not a viable alternative

As a owner of a 2014 i3, I still think 22kw is good enough for this City car. I wont sell it! So inexpensive so good to drive in the city so good acceleration and NO PAINT OR METAL DAMAGE PROBLEMS! I only need a big family car for long travels and the freedom of charge with my recharge hybrid Volvo

So PSM can never be deactivated completely it looks like because it saves you every time the rear wants to break out (light is blinking), f.e. at 03:48 or 04:40. Is there no way to deactivate it completely? Love your videos by the way, watched a lot the last days. 😁

Thanks for that chap 👍 The light isn't the PSM as such, it's blinking because it's braking the rear axle to mimic an LSD. That's why there's no one-tyre fire. A friend just tested, proved, and fixed this with a proper diff on his 987.2. He made a video explaining it all with a session at brands showing the rear dancing about. Well worth a watch... kzbin.info/www/bejne/gJzIn5uMnsllocksi=XG3pbtOo26vDJn8A

I'm not and expert either but I agree with you that the order of energy usage from least to most, in highly unusual test situations is (1) Driving carefully so that you coast to stop where you need to rather than any kind of braking (2) Regen braking (3) Friction braking. As you say (1) takes the most KE and translates it to motion. (2) Takes less than that back to the battery through the losses you describe, (3) wastes it. But in the real world ....where you can't anticipate every stop...braking is necessary, regen wins out of the three because (1) is largely impossible.

Great comparison video, I think you mentioned Mr White had the edge potentially due to been a 2 door and or the cat back exhaust, but tyres could also be a factor, would be interesting if all 3 had the same rubber.

So a 3.0 turbo is faster on a track than a 2.3 4x4 turbo, imagine if it was rallying country like cross country b roads or wet and loose which is what rallying’s about . I’d bet the m140 would of needed a telescope to see which way the rs went innthe wet or damp 😂😂

Then i was happy for 90km/h speed on full gas. Car was like without turbocharge, atmospheric. I'll find that tube and repair it.. THANK YOU SO MUCH even after 10 years 😂

Super Video by the way.
