When attempting to change any imported track's Algorithm from Universal (due to all notes showing up on the 'A' Line) to Melodic, it says detection analysis needs to be repeated, after clicking 'Redetect' and waiting a few seconds, nothing happens and the 'Algorithm' selection is still on 'Universal' and all notes remain on the 'A' Line after supposedly Redetecting the Tracks Notes. The notes for me all show up as grey where as yours seem to show up in an Orange (selectable) colour, do I need to select the notes before changing the algorithm? or something else? as I am unable to change the algorithm unless I have the imported Track selected (up above the notes section of the app), whereas the Notes themselves that you are able to slide up and down to change the pitch I am not allowed to interact with whatsoever, it seems as though they are greyed out and not interactable and the notes combined on the 'A' Line just look like a simple Stereo Track rather than individual notes. Am I importing the Track incorrectly? Am I not selecting the correct part of the track to change the algorithm? Is the Track Faulty (despite playing just fine on windows)? where would I begin to diagnose what the heck is going wrong here? each video tutorial I've watch everyone can change their Algorithm just fine without any hiccups and no one seems to have encountered this issue I am facing to the point where it doesn't get explained in any tutorials and barely anyone in the comments has this issue either. I am using the Standalone Melodyne 5 Windows App Trial at an attempt to extract the Melody from the start of a song (which the melody plays completely on it's own during the start of the song making it supposedly easy to extract the notes.... or so I thought..) to then manually place those notes in FL Studio

Im learing melodyne and I want to know that when I go through and tune vocals, why does mine have a very weird robotic sound more so then a natural vocal sound?

I get no joy in seeing this, but I really wish you could tighten up the timing of vocals as quickly in Melodyne studio as fast as in vocalign. In fact, I think I’m gonna go make this criticism on the actual ceremony KZbin page. Hopefully they’ve got some plan in the works to fix that.

This video of yours is great, but sometimes Melodyne may mistakenly recognize some vowels as consonants or consonants as vowels. I may encounter this problem when processing Chinese songs. Do you know how to solve this problem?

I always record the tuned track to a separate track then inactivate and hide the original recording. Because once you transfer to Melodyne, you can't make any more edits to the actual track (Automation, fades, everything)

I need help. When i record my vocals and use melodyne, sometimes I'm a half step off and if i try to drag the note to the correct pitch itll start to make the vocal like it was tuned and sound either too nasally and high pitched if dragged up, and too low and muffled if dragged down. Sometimes itll do that if halfway far from the note i need. I tried using formant but it only helps so much, and i tend to have a lot of vibrato when i sing so sometimes thats difficult to deal with. Do i just rerecord my vocals or is there something i can do? I dont really see anyone talk about this issue

@@eddydamachinegun8232 glad it was helpful! I tune every vocal with Melodyne, print it, and then use auto tune as the first plugin on the insert chain to get things even tighter. Very common to use both plugs when vocal tuning

@@bbrrwwnn check to see if you need to update a Mac setting around intel vs M1 processor. That hardware difference might require you to change a setting. I don’t know the exact resource, but look at your “about this Mac” and search around for your specific Mac settings with getting Melodyne ARA to work

@@StudioJKovac yes, and thats what most people at home do unless you’re recording bands and you have multiple microphones/inputs on your interface. When recording tracks one at a time, I suggest starting with drums to get the groove, then add bass, then record guitars/chord-type elements.

Tell me if I have this correct. If I am singing to a backing track, I need to have a clear track that is only my vocal, play around with it using this software, then I bring it back together with the backing track, make sure they are synced, and that is how I achieve a pitch corrected vocal with music. Is that correct?

Hey Andy, great video thanks! How do I get melodyne to change tempo along with my daw within my song? When I change tempo in my daw melodyne stays the same and won’t let me adjust it. Any thoughts? Thanks!

That Bluebird mic - did you use that to track? I actually perfer that mic over many other expensive mic's and since they stop making them - was thinking of snagging some up - I prefer it over the TLM 103 even lol

I don't think melodyne essential has a pitch modulation tool. If it does, I can't seem to find it. All I can move is the sound clip in essential. I can't move the lines associated with the sound clip
