Cool story!!! same thing happened with me and Hayden! He signed my custom RoTS stunt lightsaber I made with the correct red painted blade and he was so stoked when he saw it he was like dude where did you get that?! I told him I made it and he immediately started twirling it and spinning it like he did in RoTS!! Then he told me he hadn’t seen one of these since 2005! I was shocked and thrilled and I’m so happy to hear you had a similar reaction and experience! Hayden is awesome! God bless you and keep up the good work!

Incredible video, Coz3D. Looking forward to your next upload. I tapped the thumbs up button on your content. Keep up the fantastic work! Your insights on using different mediums for weathering are really helpful. Have you considered any specific techniques for achieving a more weathered look on metallic surfaces?

Much appreciated! So on metals it’s basically the same. Good thing about metals is you can always clean them easier if you over weather them.

Great job & excellent work! Side-thought: It doesn't seem possible that all the marring on the helmet could be battle-damage. If his helmet really took all that as battle damage, including all that stuff so close to the neck... it's only logical that his unarmored body would be at best nothing but an incomplete mass of scar tissue. I guess it *could* be battle damage... if he inherited it from a guy who died in it. Hehe
@coz3d21 күн бұрын
I'm guessing it's not so much battle damage as it's been home made in a cave with privative tools more than any thing. But you're right, if it is battle damage he'd look like hamburger from the waist down!

@@coz3d Cool. Didn't see you wearing one in any of the shots. Just a cautionary tale. When I worked in the film industry my boss in the shop was horrible with using PPE and safety. He would lick his fingers all the time to smooth things, never wear a mask or safety goggles. I picked up these bad habits and one day when I was getting plaster for a cast I dropped the scoop by accident into the large plaster bucket. It puffed up a bunch of plaster into my eyes. As you know... plaster and water react. I had to be rushed to flush my eyes before it started to harden. That same Christmas my boss went to the hospital with stomach pains. Five days later he died of stomach cancer likely caused by the chemicals he ingested for years. Always use PPE not only for your safety, but because you're setting an example for younger (and older) people who enjoy your videos. Just my thoughts. Great job on the helmet!

I’ve yet to see anyone use Loctite Hysol glue for joining halves other than me. Not only is it the strongest glue on the planet but it totally minimizes all the grinding & fill work. It’s thixotropic so there’s no sagging and the joint will never come apart equal to it being solid printed or more. I use Hysol 9460/62 series and have used it for the last 20 years on my RC Turbine aircraft that have wing joints that hold up for 250mph+ speeds and the G-loads are in the 10-40 G’s just because of power to weight. Also there’s some newer Spray can High Fill primers that eliminate the need for the Red filler & Acetone. The primer is available at Autozone and is the U-POL White Expert Bonding Primer. This stuff has all but replaced the Red Putty except for areas that need leveling or cracks etc… the big difference is the time & exposure to the harshness of the Red Putty/Acetone mixture.

Gonz is the man for sure! Very knowledgeable. Has what ya need. And absolutely cool to work with from what I heard and seen. I hope to do business with him sometime. I went with the Astropixels myself. But pretty much similar. As for the wiring in the dome, I didn’t tape anything. I peeped through the rear door of the body and looked up to the dome as I was spinning the dome with the remote. Nothing was even close to causing an issue. So I didn’t think it necessary since no one will see it. Not enough wires to consider it messy. Your droid dome is on point! Great work!
