You're on the Sargasso sea there, right ?. I saw the ocean once, in 1970's. The beach we saw was tiny and had swarms of tiny crabs running around. All the life was subsand. Tiny tellins, I think.

Eight dollars plus tax for a carton of eggs. As far as prices go, the oldtimers had as hard a time getting a dollar, but wait ! They were being paid a dime. Coffee was a dime a cup. That's an hour's wages !. My mom begged to go to the movies, but it was a dime. Grandpa turned his pocket and only had .08 cents !

Love the Knobbed Whelks. I live in Dublin, GA and go to the Georgia coast to shell occasionally. Back in early September, I found 2 beautiful knobbed whelks, dark in color on North Beach on Tybee Island. It was a very windy day. I wish I could take a boat and go out onto a barrier island and hunt for some big, beautiful knobbed whelks. They almost remind me of giant Lightning Whelks you find frequently in SW Florida where I go shelling on many occasions. Just got back from the 10K Islands in SW Florida to Keeywaden Island about 2 weeks ago and found some amazing and plentiful shells.

She & my Pappy are the ones who sparked my love of the water/beach/ocean/boating. I am so thankful for the times we have spent together & the love they showed me as a child (by spending time & doing things with me)! 🤗 They were my only living grandparents as I grew up & as an adult, I see what a blessing they truly were to be a part of my life making memories (lots of Salty Reflections along the way)! 🥰🌊🐚👣🚤🎣🐬🦈⛱️👴👵❣️

I need to go walking to get it stronger but it’s so cold here to walk outside. I can’t drive far because I’m on restriction due to my blood pressure dropping and I pass out

Well, I can say without a doubt you made her day and I could see how she appreciated your sea treasures. What a tremendous blessing to still have your granny. Oliver your secret gift was awesome. I really love that I can tune in and watch your video's and know they are wholesome, family valued. Hunting Island is so special to me, I love that it's wild, mother nature at her finest, no ugly highrises in sight. I once stood alone on that beach as a storm was coming ashore. Not a living soul in sight. Just thinking about it now takes me back to that day. Life altering to say the least. Thank you so very much for sharing your beach exploring, your granny, your beach treasures and the knowledge of the shells. But most of all the greatest treasures of all yourselves.
