That’s amazing Trev and Sue. So beautiful. We didn’t get to hardly any places on Lewis - just the Callanish Stones and Stornaway so seeing this is brilliant! I always thought it was Harris that had the beaches! Amazing And a cool little community shop. Beautiful views from there too. They ought to run a competition with the most scenic shop in Scotland - there would be a lot of entries! Nice aire there without EHU but great facilities. Enjoyed this one again guys. Safe travels

We stayed at Keal Lodge 2 years ago and it's the best kept site we've ever stayed on. The gravel had been raked prior to our arrival. Not been back yet but would like to stay on the CL...it's so pretty.

Lovely drive. Ah loving this view with the mountains in the background. This looks like a lovely place to park for a couple days. It's nice there's potties and showers. First time I saw a shower that took coins, I was like whaaaat? But we've since used another shower that takes coins. It's totally worth it when you're traveling along tent camping and just really want/need a nice hot shower. Oh that house sitting up on the hillside is like picture perfect. Is that what he was taking a photo of? So darn windy there. Ha I was totally going to say that water looks like sand. But I guess it actually is sand 😆That's very interesting. The area is just beautiful. OOH there's the water LOL. Those houses all have lovely views. Great video guys. Was a neat stop on your travels.

Further south it becomes very quiet and there are much fewer people. Benbecula doesn’t have the dramatic scenery but it is like a little paradise with nature everywhere. A fabulous tour 🙂🚐👍🏻 Trev

Wow, another fascinating insight into the islands Trev. As i said on a previous video, I am hoping to do bottom to top of these islands as you are doing. You have been before, but for a first timer looking to explore as much as I can, how long would you allow for the lot? Cheers, Martin

It’s an amazing tour. We had 3 weeks from Oban to Skye. But another week would have given us time to explore more of the quaint little places. Lewis is the biggest island and you need at least a week there. Of course there’s never enough time but if I did it again, I would take a month, probably June as the days are long. Wonderful, a beautiful representation of Harris. Even on days when the weather doesn’t quite behave the sea and beaches are still full of colour and the landscape can look even more dramatic. It never disappoints. Looking forward to seeing more, best wishes H&M.😊

It took a while to cook the pork. Needed a slow constant heat but not burn them. Have to say they were delicious 😋 And we saved a little bit for the dogs too 😉👍🏻🚐💙 Trev

We only visited Harris and Lewis for a day but Harris and its beaches has remained in the memory. Another wonderful vid guys. Surprised at how big the ferry between Berneray and Harris is. And also how far it seemed. But when you look on the map it’s no surprise and also I suppose most of the other islands are linked by causeways. Shame about Horgabost Trev and Sue. We haven’t experienced poor campsite etiquette yet and hope we don’t. People can be very inconsiderate and rude. Anyway hope you guys are having a good week. Dave and Sue.

Thanks guys, we really appreciate your support. The islands are stunning in many ways. Most of the time the residents have been amazingly friendly and helpful but on occasions some of the visitors less so. It’s so important that visitors remember that they are visiting someone else’s community and should be respectful. I think it sounds a bit old fashioned to mention it these days 🙂 Trev .

Horgabost beach is lovely but it looks as if the campsite hasn’t improved much since I last visited. On my first visit I was kept awake till 2 am by some women having a party in their van. On another stay only I women’s loo was open and the queues were lengthy! At least there is a black waste disposal point, even if it costs and you can book the site now, however not great if you’re allocated a poor pitch.

It’s a shame but there were more things I could have mentioned on this site. It’s just one to avoid in my opinion. Others may disagree 🙂 The thing about this tour was that we kept moving. We didn’t find much to complain about at all 👍🏻🚐💙 Trev

What a shame the camc site was a disappointment as the beach by it looked stunning. I find it really disrespectful when people stay up chatting late at night. Sophie and Oscar looked so cute running side by side on the beach. Take care Gill

It was the only campsite we were disappointed with. There are busy spots on the islands and we found one 😉 most of the time we were out and about where there was very few people. Locals were always friendly and helpful and we enjoyed their hospitality and warm welcome 🙂🚐👍🏻 Trev

It’s so natural out there on the islands. The wind blows most days and the tides do their thing. What little human activity there is, makes little difference to the power and greatness of these beautiful places 😃👍🏻💙 Trev

Yes the islands are beautiful but of course the wind is relentless most of the time. The sand was blowing in the dogs faces some of the time so we turned back and walked in the other direction 😃💙 Trev x

Hello Trev and Sue, Joe and Sheila, lovely views are you travelled, lovely campsite. A nice sight of the ferry crossing the loch. OOh the pork steaks looked good, Oscar was very interested. Great visiting the distillery, bet you enjoyed trying all the gin flavours. Funny the sheep in the middle of the road, nice lunch stop. Glad you got your lap top sorted, Enjoy x Julie and Tony x

They really are the islands that keep on giving, beautiful views with stunning coastlines and beaches. Your vlog brought back many happy memories for us. Loved the gin tasting, it would be rude not to try the local tipple 😂. Loved your shirt Trev as well, we should all “explore more” looking forward to the next instalment , best wishes H&M. 😊xx

A fascinating film. We have leylandii down both sides of our 150ft garden. It's a 1930s house and we moved in in the 1980s. The trees were pretty high then and I used to cut them down to 15 feet with a bow saw! I kept pruning them back every year but this year, it's time to get the professionals in. These things are the arboreal version of Michael Myers in the Halloween films... they just keep growing back no matter what you do to them!
