The school girl was speaking about the bullying of minorities, race, sex or gender & their rights being protected in America. Much of the media chose to ignore her adding minorities, race & sex as being protected, but only want to focus on the LBGT part. The sad part is, too many right-wing [slow-brained] people have an animosity towards minorities (Black, Asian, Jewish, etc) having the same equal rights as Caucasian people. The angry adult woman was against all the protections of equality for everyone, not just LGBT people. (on another note, the anti-mask people never had a problem wearing masks in Tennessee, when they had regular klan meetings, while they we wearing hoods)

I mean, religion by definition is indoctrination, and so is all education to be fair; doesn't mean it's inherently good or bad. Just shouting "this is indoctrination" when she doesn't like what's being taught doesn't really mean anything when taken in that context. What she really means is that it's counter to her own indoctrination. And since that goes without saying she might as well shut the hell up.

Also, this illustrates something that is the sad effects of a divisive political environment. These people (like the "Go Joe Brandon" sign) might seem normal in most other areas of their lives, but then, we find out -- through situations like this where they express their "true views" -- that they harbor such reprehensible viewpoints on infrequently talked about topics. The crowd really does not see the LGBT+ community in a progressive fashion and (thus) mistreat students who are gay or sexually-identifying differently. All of this, we can thank Trump and the GOP for making these types of crazy viewpoints and rankous behavior more the norm now.
@PoeLemic3 жыл бұрын
There are a lot of KOOKS in this world -- just like that Lady screaming and disrespecting Miss McKenzie Atwood. They should have showed that student the respect without interrupting her presentation, because Miss Atwood gave everyone else respect (even that ignorant "Go Joe Brandon" fool that spoke before her), as they presented really useless presentation. So, I know what Miss Atwood is communicating, and I saw it many times back in my high school where the LGBT+ community (we didn't call it that in the past, more the "Gay Community") were really disrespected and treated in ill ways. This should not continue. This meeting is a perfect example of the discrimination and racism-like behavior that so many parents and their children (if parents are discriminatory, then kids most likely will be too) which needs to stop. So many individuals need to quit listening to religion and how all of this stuff is "sinful" or "going to hell", and wake up. It's 2021 and humanity needs to accept everyone no matter how they identify themselves or what their sexuality is.

@@edwardmiessner6502 Sorry boss, Romans is in the New Testament. In particular the following: "26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error. 28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. 29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31 they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. 32 Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them" NT God is characterized as welcoming of all sinners, but that does not preclude the "evils" of free-will (for lack of a better short-hand) in the faithful.
