The perspective and wisdom of these fine people is ignored, if not hidden, by the mainstream media. Speaks volumes.

After 22 years in the military, I started teaching Government to 8th graders in a lower income district middle school. After my first 5 years I was very encouraged by the quality of the students I had each year. But for the last 5 years, we have taught students that it's not your fault you can't read. So the students stop trying. Last year, I was still dealing with the same problem, students refuse to read and the best advice my supervisors can give me was to limit how much reading your assignments require. Lucky, this school year, our district have a renewed focused on reading and comprehension.

Thank you for your service to our country both in the military and as an educator. We need more people like yourself who are so committed to this country and it’s people. I would also like to add that we need better emphasis on diagnosing children with learning disorders. Too many children with ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia, Bipolar disorder etc. slip through the cracks of our failed education systems. Many of our countries social issues can be rooted back to our inattention to mental health. Thank you again for your service to this country. I’m very excited to see the 1776 Project coming together to help us all heal. This gives me hope.

It’s sad that the masses will not see this. We have to push this entire panel to the forefront so more of us see and know the truth.

I hope in the future this kind a people will become inspiration for any community. Educated intellectuals with a degrees in economics, philosophy, math, instead of some rappers or someone with a degree and PGD in “ black study’s “ from some mom and pop university!

It's so heartening to see and hear this. In an era of intolerance, cancelling of opposing opinions and outright hatred of anyone who even vaguely challenges the leftist narrative, this is a tonic. The sad fact is though that it will likely reach very few people, especially those who could benefit from hearing an alternative take on racial issues in the US.

For the past twenty years here in Baltimore City black children have been getting a substandard education by a school system rum mainly by black educators. Unlike when I went to school in the 70s and 80s, these black educators don't care and pass the buck of blame.

America's birth defect of slavery? The conversation around slavery is mind boggling considering slavery existed for thousands of years prior to America. The defect of slavery still exists in Africa. The self-righteousness of POC is nauseating...

Anyone that thinks racism is unique to the US has never lived outside the US.
