Hey Gabe, enjoy your Channel. What was the name of that Synthwave box set yiu picked up a while back?....I've been getting into Retrowave 80's stuff. Apparently, it is still popular today as many modern day artists are creating that 80's retro sound. Take care and Happy New Year from Northern Utah.

Agree about Ramones, very overrated music. Its nice to hear someone be honest, im a bit sick of vinyl too, i might buy 3 or 4 albums a year, im extremely selective with what i put on my shelf. I see the vc people showing their RSD purchases and i don't want any of it, when you take a step back and see it for what it is you see that people are just addicts, they're addicted to buying, addicted to hunting down records continuously. Its not about the music (although they'll say it is) because they're addicts and they'll make any excuse for a fix.
@Gabesmusicdiscography2 ай бұрын
@@crazyprayingmantis5596 Ramones definitely have some good songs but being there in ‘76 when this came out had to have been mind blowing. I also had no interest in RSD and agree about the addiction. People buy everything (I’ve been guilty), listen to it twice then move on to the next thing. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Hi i think Digital formats through headphones causes fatigue quicker rather than analogue vinyl or something going in to a quality amp etc seems more natural ,also cds use laser tech to put music on to discs where as vinyl is done more through vibration from master plates by creating grooves and moving air same as the instruments do such a guitar or bass in the recording process and human ear picks this up more on these frequencies.

Depends on the mastering - Heavier stuff doesn't get the best treatment in general !

I think buying stuff hurts the soul. You know you don't need any of this stuff, you can't take it with you and each thing you buy is that much more of a weight around your neck dragging you down.

I can only compare it to the Ortofon Red, but the Nagaoka is way better.
@bubble-and-scrape6 ай бұрын
@@GabesmusicdiscographyOrtofon seems to be popular with US turntable users, but Nagaoka has a way bigger fanbase worldwide due to its wider range of specific stylus’ for specific music styles and better product quality.

Interesting comments. I’ve been going down a similar track. Running a Pro-Ject Debut Evo which came with an Ortofon 2M Red. Changed to a Nagaoka MP110 and big improvement. Also like it better than the Audio Technica VM95ML which gets good reviews. Bass and drums jump out a bit more. The MP200 cartridge and stylus a bit out of my price range so I think I’ll try the MP200 stylus on the MP110 cartridge next time. I’m Aussie. Silverchair were very big here around Frogstomp time. Good album but fame as teenagers probably caused some stress down the line.

Dracula (dirty old man) has a 3.4 rating on IMDb. The director's actual name is William Edwards. This is the only movie he directed. As for the actors for most of them this is only movie they made. It was shot on a shoe-string budget and the sound is pretty bad according to what I read. So unlike John Waters who made Pink Flamingos on a similar budget, which has become over time a cult classic, this one has become a forgettable mess. Hope the music is better. Did you know that Victoria Legrand of the band Beach House is Michel Legrand's niece? Remember the song She's About a Mover by Sir Douglas Quintet? That's what I thought about when you showed Bob Mover. Anyway, I like your presentation, and appreciate your honesty, I mean if you don't like a record, you say so. Look forward to more stuff.

A crazy thing music labels and Ai can do is basically the label tells the Ai to make every kind of “these parameters” songs, and have a data base of millions of songs they own, so that they can automate suing artists for infringing on the melody of any of those songs. Basically creating a software to screw people, and as the future keeps coming, more and more of that kind of thing will be done with technology, and when it comes to the few making money on the new tech and the many becoming the outsiders living in the out bounds beyond the star cities will outnumber the clean folk 9/1 yet we will be slaves that essentially keep the power on the clothes washed and the food made for the people lucky enough to be born into the top 12 families of earth. *edit: we as in a human race not you and I personally

I would like to recommend a power trio band called the Warning that have quite a unique story. They have just released their fourth album called Keep me Fed and their previous three albums are Error, Queen of the Murder Scene {a concept album} and their first XXI Century Blood. They play rock music. Check them out here on You Tube, they basically grew up in You Tube. And if you like their music then you can buy it if you like, I am waiting for the new album to arrive and have it in my hands by this wednesday. I recommend the teatro Metropolitan CDMX 2022 live concert. They went viral in 2014 with their cover of Metallica enter sandman that has 25 million views and counting. Then in 2021 they were invited to participate in the Metallica blacklist album and they totally did a re-imagined enter sandman as requested by Metallica. I am a fan of Neil Young and have some of his albums also saw him in concert. Excellent video very interesting and informative. Rob
