Part of AJ's previous material in one of his specials was about people being easily offended, and what he is saying now sounds like he doesn't like comedians complaining about people being offended, which doesn't really compute...but that's because I think it's because he means something else. people being too offended is a popular shtick in comedy for like 40 years now and probably longer, but it ramped up a lot in the last few yeaes in response to censorship. the thing is, once the censorship is gone, the joke is no longer funny. so I think AJ is just commenting generally on comedy requiring tension, because that is what gets the laugh. if there are no two sides to the coin, you're simply stating a fact, not tellinf a joke. someone has to be the butt of every joke written, and if that person doesn't exist, neither do jokes. so complaining too much about the thing which allows for the joke is short-sighted, and complaining about people being offended at this point is a steak well done.
