I am not vegan, but I want to make this. Do you use ground sage or rubbed sage. Do you use ground time or time leaves? Thank you.

We learn new things everyday Rain - so happy you mastered the peeling & perfect boiling of the eggs 💞...oh Blesssss........my heart has melted again seeing your sweet furr babies enjoy their healthy egg delights and waiting patiently and happily xx Bless xx (My parents always added a litle salt to the water when boiling eggs they said it stopped them from cracking so I continued the tradition LOL) xx

Oh that's great Yvie, a little salt, it seems to work! I nearly gave up feeding them eggs until I found out an easier way to peel them! ♥

Brita is a carbon filter that removes odors and tastes (mostly used on city chlorinated water to remove chlorine), it doesn't remove dissolved solids (like dissolved iron which is what iron bacteria eat). Also shock your well and house lines ANYTIME the well casing is opened (maintenance and/or repairs) or when ANY plumbing is done on the supply side (like new dishwasher, replacing a shut-off valve on a toilet, etc.) - may people will get E. Coli bacteria which can only be detected by a test and it is killed in the same way as iron bacteria.

Could you use 1/2 cup of the potato carrot broth in place of the 1/2 cup water?

Yes Barbara, I would say you could. The liquid is for the consistency, just keep in mind that it might enhance the potato/carrot flavour of the cheese! ♥

You can also use pool shock, which is 10% to 12% sodium hypochlorite and twice as strong as household bleach. Do not use pool pellets, which are not designed for potable water, or shock your well by adding plain unscented household bleach with a chlorine concentration of 5 to 5.25%.

@@nicola4789 You know what Nicola? I don't think I did do an official video about the 3 new dogs!!! In February my hound dog Jack died 😢and it was so sad. Raven seemed to be so lonely and I got a call from the same shelter where I adopted her. They had these three dogs up for adoption, they were a family. Grandma, Mama and Puppy. I decided to adopt all three, it was in mid-March! Thank you for reminding me to do an official video about the adoption! It's been crazy around here lol! 🐕🐕🐕🐕

Oh, my goodness, this post saved me! I have often included a video on my blog, but for some reason it gives me an error message now every time I try to upload a simple 20 second video. I have been so frustrated. But when I found your video, you made it look so easy to embed it through KZbin. Could I actually do it as easily as you made it appear? YES!! How much flour total did you use?
@rainskitchenandgarden2 ай бұрын
Besides the 5 & 1/3 cups initially, the best answer I can give you is: just enough so that the dough doesn't stick. Sorry I can't be more precise!

Homemade pancakes are a great way to use up old milk, aka sour milk, not the lumpy kind. It's like using buttermilk. Works great to replace buttermilk in baked goods and donuts too. I like hiding a couple over easy cackle berries under the top pancake of a short stack.
@rainskitchenandgarden2 ай бұрын
I have to admit, I had to look up "cackle berries"! Love it. A friend of mine uses her sour dough discards to make pancakes too, haven't ventured into that yet, but it's on the menu! ☺ Thanks for your comment! ♥
@Mr-Corey-June2 ай бұрын
@@rainskitchenandgarden You need to watch some old black and white movies to hear eggs called cackle berries. If you raise chickens you totally understand the name, LOL. It's fun to joke about the names, but my sister in-law doesn't like the name of a soup I make. Cream Of Buzzard Soup Ingredients: Celery 1/2 cup chopped Carrot 1 diced Onion 1 large diced Potatoes 4-8 diced, about 4 cups or more Chicken stock 1 quart S & P, and bouillon to taste (low sodium, no MSG) 1/2 cup butter, 1/3 cup flour for rue Milk or Half and Half, or Cream Leftover Turkey or Chicken cut up small Instructions: Pour Chicken stock in pot, put on high heat. Chopped Celery (small chop, or dice), add to pot. Shred carrot or diced, add to pot. Dice or slice Potatoes, add to pot. Add water to just barely cover veggies, turn heat down as needed for light boil. Season to taste. Make a rue with butter and flour. Stir rue into pot to thicken when veggies are done. Add pint or more of milk, or cream, bring back up to boil. Add leftover cooked bird and simmer for 5 minutes. Check seasoning and add to taste. Add a pinch of dried crushed Rosemary or small sprig of fresh. Turn off heat and cover to rest 5 minutes. If used remove sprig of Rosemary before serving. 🙃
