Honestly, as a Grey Warden this game is one of my favorites in the franchise. I haven't been this attached to my OG character since Origins. Just wish they could have worked on the writing a bit more.

I am not sure, Zevran was offing his house members. And most endings for Zevran were that he eventually became head of House Arainai. Problem is Veilguard deals with Dellamorte's house as your allies.

I disagree. We're allied with the top echelon Crow house, so I don't see Zhevran being mentioned diminishing them at all. Lucanis says "There are twelve Crow houses, only five I'd recommend". That implies they are of varying quality and class, and the interaction with Lucanis and Harding makes it clear that while all of the Crow houses are connected by way of rank, they seem to work independently of each other quite a bit. =)

@agirlnamedmichael1670 I meant more along the lines that the crows are different faction entirely. They're an Assassin's Creed style band of plucky freedom fighters struggling to pick up where their government failed. In the previous installments they were pretty explicitly the shadow hand of the Antivan government that function on death, torture, and enslavement. I think it would a cool idea to ally with the leaders of such a faction but that's not what is presented in Veilguard. It's a weird swerve and opens up a continuity break when they're suddenly presented as hardened but unambiguously good allies. Then again, almost everyone but Solas is unambiguously good or cartoonishly evil in Veilguard so maybe I'm just being salty about the change in writing philosophy. ✌️

@@Drowninginantimatter Ah, I get what you're saying. There's a lot in Veilguard that makes you have to do a lot of contextual guessing as to how things got to where they are. I guess that's why the Crows don't bug me as much as, say, the veil Jumpers. Treviso is being occupied by what is a powerful army. To me, because it was previously unthinkable that they would be invaded due to their reputation, they rested too much on their laurels and now they are floundering without real direction because of it. The Veil Jumpers kind of came out of nowhere, so I have to pretend that they are some offshoot of whatever group Solas' made after calling the elves to him after DAI. Confusing to say the least.

Thank you, too, for loving it! I incorporated a bunch of cinematography ideas...but my favourite splices were the back-to-back presentation of the inquisition and veilguard shots of Solas and Lavellan!

I actually broke down crying when my character spoke after Remembering Davrin...like I had to exit the game and just weep. Rook's voice acting really got me, and Bellara's as well. The buildup up to this point was so painful because Davrin was really hoping we'll start a future together. The fade scenes were heartbreaking, when I compared it to the friendship route.

Hmm yeah Davrin already is blighted for being Warden. That would make sense that Harding would get blight .. or even evil Harding that tried to kill us.

That's what I think is going to happen. I think whoever is sacrificed is going to become a Ghoul like a Broodmother. If it's Harding, probably that's what she'd become and then for Davrin/Assan some sort of hybrid Warden/griffin creating like Ghilan'nain and Elgar'nan mentions at the tree in the Crosswords (line you get when you don''t lock in a romance before, she mentions taking all the companions and combining them together into a monster). I wouldn't be surprised if later on there's a DLC or something that you find them in the Fade (tear in the Veil, they fall in) and you either have a chance to save them or have to kill them by your own hand.

It was an excruciating stretch after the Chapter 12 choice. I was expecting to be hardened up to the end, but I literally broke down in tears after hearing the companions' + rook's comments.

It's most likely the nose! But I assure you that my headcanon Lavellan is an assassin haha, so her facial marks from Inquisition show it.

I would argue that even on Warden front it's stupid. Game never actually explains or studies why he survived Razikale. We as players might know from Origins and lore on how Old Gods were created to give Evanuris immortality, but it's never fully discussed in Veilguard. As evident by Lucanis asking Davrin if he thinks he can survive Luscan. And that brings us to next issue .. Davrin is only warden on team we have. Warden's job is Archdemon. Not Evanuris. And Luscan is still around, now THAT is archdemon. I would just simplify and offed Harding and maybe to choose should be Taash. Neither of which normally have to kill Archdemons.
