Turning the foot in going into Lazy About Tying Coat is not in Chen Zheng Lei's book but I did get a translation of Chen Zhaopi by Mark Chen and he mentions it in his dialog on the movement. Surprised me, but their it is.

Can walking obliquely be used as a defence for a head kick as it appears that the none hook hand could intercept a kick and drop the leg down to the crook of the elbow. Good explination.

Your knees are moving out as you turn your waist so cannot close at the hip joint and your weight moves to the outside of your foot. Also you are lifting your elbow and disconnecting from the center core so not connected to waist. Also chest must sink to connect upper body with waist. Lack Principles.

In the Song of the Tai Chi Sword it is said : The Way of the Sword is from the beginning difficult to learn. Like a Dragon or Rainbow it is subtle and mysterious. Should it be used like a hacking Sabre, the immortal Zhang Sanfeng die of laughter.

I just stumbled on this! This is amazing! Ive got to learn all the self defense arts out there . My former fiance gets released from prison next year so I only got a short time to learn. I got the guns but I want a backup plan. It may sound silly but I wanna use an ax like this. Ever seen Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter ? (Wicked great film, my top 10 lol) I want my ax to be my sheild & saber so to say. Do you think this class could help me learn? I trip sitting down is how badly in coordinated lol but after the years of absuse I completely lost my fight or flight my only reaction is freeze now and that's what gets me broken bones and a lot of pain so I'm trying to change for the better and fix all the stuff that he broke inside me you're really talented I just really want to say that and you know hats off to you sir for trying to teach people things that's respectful af thank you
