Thanks for the honest assessment. I own one (12 years now) and have been happy with its performance and have experienced many of the exact same finer points illustrated.

how is the decocking with a round in the chamber? enough room for your thumb in there between the hammer and firing pin?

Got my new SAR9 X set a few days ago. The trigger was non-functional. The "passed" sticker still hanging on the trigger guard.

I have one, it's a solid, reliable poly frame CZ 75 clone. It's basically a bare bones low cost service pistol, probably made for Turkish cops and foreign export. They just pop the SAR USA on for import via Sarsilmaz's US branch because they know Americans love cheap guns

Awesome video and knowledge. I own the Ruger LCP II 22lr, Beretta NEOS 22lr, Walther PPKs 22lr, and a NAA RANGER ll in 22 magnum. They are all a joy and pleasure to shoot. A few times ive carried the LCP II 22lr for concealed carry, but thought my 380 LCP was a better option. Overall...in a dire situation. I'm afraid of a reliability issue with the 22lr ehen seconds count. Instead, i just go old school. My go to for concealed carry is my Ruger LCR 38 special with Wadcutters. Recoils like a 22 but hits like a truck.

Nice shooting man! I see this video is 4 years old, so that would explain why this same firearm is now $680. The SAR website does offer night sights, and red dot mounting plates for these, as well as threaded barrels. So these can definitely be customized nicely for more money of course. Great review!

I noticed it did not have the under layer, also you didn’t go very deep into it’s safety - I read it was similar to the 1911, but again didn’t note anything of a Palm-safety

I'm waiting on mine, already have the binary trigger and the brace and brace adapter. I'd put a can on it if I wasn't already mostly deaf, plus it's an extra $450 plus $200 tax stamp. I'm gonna buy a LOT more ammo instead.

Absent a decocker, this is not a DA/SA pistol. It is a SA pistol with a second strike capability. The only way to fire DA would be to pull the trigger and thumb the hammer down.

Thank you for this video! I have the same thoughts on the 22lr. I currently carry a Phoenix arms in my pocket daily. I trust this gun as it has run flawless for about 200 rds. One question, I carry this gun in my pocket safeties off chambered hammer down. Is it safe this way, or would it better to have it cocked with the grip safety on? Thanks, just subscribed.

Active Self Protection always says "first one to get a bullet on target wins". (Taurus copied the Beretta with their PT22, but the PT is double action, not single action like the Beretta. The Taurus trigger pull is off the charts. I'd like to know what the Beretta's pull weight is.)

Cannot use my CZ 75 magazines in my recently purchased new B6 pistol. CZ 75 magazines will not lock in. B6 mags are about 1/16" longer than my CZ mags. Tempted to file down the polymer grip frame until CZ mags will lock in. CZ mags are plentiful and a little less expensive than B6 mags.

The pistol ammo is designed for 17 yards. Reasonable combat handgun range. It's so lightweight that it doesn't carry energy well. Their rifle ammunition is a bit different, but still lightweight and best inside 300 yards
@Zoroff743 ай бұрын
Relatively ok energy retention though, drops to 75% ME at 60 m, which it reaches in 0.9 s with barely any drop and wind drift of 2.5" @ 22 mph. After that it pretty much loses it, being barely useful at 100 m and just slow and weak beyond, but being so capable and easy to use up to 50-60 m is very good for many cases. Bonus from the light weight is that the terminal range and risk area is quite manageable.
