Great review ! I had been looking at this gun for a while at my local gun shop in South Florida for the last few months . After watching your review I picked one up and wasn’t disappointed. Thanks !

Side Note , the CZ 75 leather Smoothe Concealment IWB holster from 1791 works great with this pistol . Almost forget I’m wearing it .

Go ahead and pull the trigger and buy it, you won’t be sorry. Mine eats any ammo I put thru it. I believe it shoots best with S&B 124 gr. Seems like it’s a little hotter range ammo.

Look up Masc holsters. Made for the gun. Have one for my 2000 and another made for my CZ 75 SP-01

This is no reflection on the reviewer and I'll be posting this at a couple of other reviewer's sites as well. Guy’s whose reviews I respect. They probably reviewed 2000 models made prior to the late 2021 model of my experience. The factory recoil-spring was too light with cases ejecting 15’from the slide: 115 gr. JHP loads chrono'd at 1139 FPS (131 Power Factor). The sight rib was incorrectly machined at an angle on one side. The opposite side was machined correctly, and was vertical. The trigger-return spring broke at around 400 rounds fired. First time that’s ever happened to me with over 40 years of handgunning experience! The heavy hammer spring made the DA trigger pull impractical for first shot firing, which can be done with the hammer at the half-cock position, which I like, and is reminiscent of CZ pistols with decockers. And, oh yeah, both factory magazines fail to lock the slide back after last round fired. Obviously, Sarsilmaz bought a large lot of poor quality springs, if they’re not made in-house. So far I’m out $50+ on replacement springs and the magazine springs still need to be replaced. Luckily, Galloway Precision has a really excellent spring kit for $25. I highly recommend it! Although listed for the B6, CM9, K2-45 and K-12 Sport models, they all use the same exact parts including the 2000 models. Greatly improves the trigger pull in double-action and lightens the single-action, which was okay as it came and better now. For recoil springs I recommend those made for the CZ SP01 or CZ 75B - NOT the Tanfoglio Witness which uses a smaller DIA. guide rod - and at 14 or 15# for standard pressure loads with a heavier 16 or 17# for +P loads: From Wolff or BHSS. For extra-power magazine springs, order those for the CZ-75B from Wolff. In the future I’ll be buying Mec-Gar magazines made FOR THE CZ 75b. All labor was provided by yours truly, including hand-filing the improperly cut sight rib. If you order/purchase the black model and need to correct the sight rib, if necessary, you'll have to have the entire slide refinished, or left ugly. The Stainless model I’m working on can be bead blasted back to original finish. SAR USA Customer service is Disappointing to say the least. The Sarsilmaz ad-hype about their factory being ISO-9001 rated and NATO spec . . . leaves you to wonder who’s doing the inspecting! This is really a shame because these pistols have plenty of potential and are accurate shooters. I did a 1-star review at the SAR USA site earlier today and it got deleted within 5 minutes. Too bad they don’t put forth the same type of effort when it comes to quality assurance!

Ty for such a detailed review! I was looking at purchasing one of these as the action felt so buttery smooth. I'm going to hold off now. Also, you need to be a private investigator lol

@@TheHonestTruthClips For those who work on their own firearms, the Galloway Precision spring kit ($25) replaces all of the internal springs except the sear spring. They have excellent installation videos on their website. As it turns out, the SAR USA tech services mgr informed me that the magazines are made by MEC-GAR. Wolf Springs has extra power springs that should fix the problem. They of course, have the recoil springs as well, but I ordered 4 of them from BHSS. A 14 and 16# is really all you need for standard pressure loads and 9mm +P. The problem was with the customer service rep not offering any solutions. But they are a new and growing company in the US and hopefully their CS will improve.

Update, if your magazines do not say Mec-Gar: Made in Italy, or MG Made in Italy, they are not Mec-Gar. But the idiots at SAR USA will tell you they are because the magazines for the SAR 9 ARE made by Mec-Gar. Order Mec-Gar 17 rd. mags made for the EAA Witness small frame and you'll be glad you did: they work~! The factory recoil spring is TOO Light, and the ejector is TOO Long. That's why your standard pressure cases eject 15 -20" from your pistol. All problems ironed out now, but by a guy with 45 years of experience, certainly more than many gunsmiths, and about $200 in parts!

An update and WARNING! If your magazines are like mine and fail to lock the slide back when they're empty; good luck dealing with SAR USA Customer Service. Some issues they won't even acknowledge, if they don't ignore your email altogether. So that means an outside vendor for MecGar magazines which the 2000 supposedly comes with, even though the only brand on mine is Sarsilmaz. Just last night I was doing some comparison shopping and found a sight called Cliff's Gunsmithing in Utah. They show that they have 17 round mags for the EAA/Tanfoglio Small Frame Witness mags that should be identical. I had to put CC info in to find what final cost was with shipping and tax. Or so I thought! As soon as I input the CC info, debit card, actually, attempting to go to the next stage to see what shipping and tax would be included, the site stated that a purchase had occurred without any ability to make a decision to purchase. I immediately emailed this company to notify them that I wanted the order cancelled. As of today there has been no confirmation that it has. I tried calling the number listed on the website, TWICE, but only get voicemail. So far as my comparison, GunMag Warehouse is probably your best bet. I only intended to order a single mag to confirm that it worked reliably for the SAR USA 2000. With around $800 invested now, the sell price being $530, I would have saved money by simply buying a CZ 75B. Not that I'm not pleased with the final result, but I've been handgunning for over 40 years, working on my own firearms with technical education in Machining Technology. If you buy a SAR 2000 and have problems, you're gonna need some skills. SAR USA ranks right up there with Century Arms, both likely even a step below EAA.

I’ve got two words for Sarsilmaz/SAR USA: Buy American! My experience with the incompetence of SAR USA can only be compared to the worst importers doing business in the USA: Sarsilmaz formerly doing business with one of them. If you think this is sour grapes? Do yourself a favor and do a web search for SAR USA Customer Service complaints. I am, however, here to help. The last issue, after essentially rebuilding a model 2000, is the junk SAR USA calls magazines. The two that came from the factory are trash. I’ve told SAR USA about this several times only to be ignored as if I’m inventing problems to complain about. Worse still, I’m pretty sure I was lied to by the Tech Services Mgr, are whatever he calls his goofy ass. He told me that the supplied mags were made by MecGar. In all of the years of my experience I’ve never had ANY problem with ANY MecGar magazine. So now we get to reality rather than some ISO 9001 Fantasy BS. I just ordered a MecGar that’s made for the Tanfoglio Witness SMALL FRAME. It is flawless. The window in the magazine that the mag release locks into is far smaller than the Turkish CRAP Magazines. So do yourself a favor when your slide doesn’t lock back on an empty magazine, and buy the MecGar I mentioned. Small Frame must be emphasized because the Witness was also made as a large frame for convertibility for cartridges like the .45 ACP, .38 Super and 10mm.
