The mask looks like that octopus that went to Shibuya to drink a lot of people. Accompanied by an environmentalist with trees for eyes, an old man with a volcano for a head, and a man with stitches on his forehead.

Amazing work! I love the traditional feel but the more modern look. And the Octopus is a fantastic creature to work into a mask. Do you happen to have a web site to order from?

How do I fix a string on a mask that covers only the lower face so that I can wear it securely?

@hiromitsu3177 thank you anyway, your Channel Is the main reason I'm making a wooden Mask for myself by the way😁 so far it's been very fun
Think of how much easier it would be to make a mold of the clay design and then cast the mask, but no, this man takes all this time and effort to hand carve it still! I have much respect for this craft and hope to own a mask some day.

I'm interested in traditional methods. Wooden masks are highly valued and can fetch a high price, but this is difficult to achieve with plastic masks.

Ten years ago i started to carve a raven mask, but put it aside for various reasons. Now i see a few things in here i want to incorporate. The foil for the copper overlay was a neat trick, and now I need to source some oyster shell.
This wood is Cypress. If you don't remove the resin, it will come out as dirt later.
