Hello, I was hoping for some help if possible. Would you have any insight into how the puppet head is made for a bunraku theater puppet? The one that changes its face from a lady to a monster? I want to make one myself but don't understand how they are made. If you don't I understand as it is not the same as what you do

It's certainly a strange mechanism, but I don't understand how it works.😅🙏

Trying to get into carving masks. Is the wood glued together to get the thickness.
@hiromitsu3177Ай бұрын
Since large blocks of wood are hard to come by, some people stick boards together to carve them.Give it a try!👍

How do you decide which kind of wood to use for each mask? :0
@hiromitsu31773 ай бұрын
My favorite wood is paulownia, the lightest.However, cypress is sometimes used to increase the value of the art.
