I just don't like a watch that has to be charged. There's nothing wrong with them but they cease to be a watch and become a fitness tracker that tells the time, like a smartphone that is a communication device/computer that tells the time. And while their are very good reasons to wear a fitness tracker, other dedicated fitness trackers do that job better than a tool watch converted to a fitness tracker.

What a great find! Your video a week too late for me perhaps. I ordered this exact style not a week ago, now on its way to me from "Pagani Design". €80,83 in the 11.11 sale. Also ordered my second "Not a Daytona" from them. The white dial has been my daily for 5 years (comfortable and pretty), added the black dial. Not sure it adds the legibility I was hoping for. Also ordered their "not a Royal Oak", crazy not to, for only €45,11. Maybe weird to buy a bunch from one and the same budget brand, but at least I know what I'm getting into. Weirder to some perhaps; I could buy the real deal (perhaps not all on the same day), but I've not yet spent that much accumulatively on cars in my life, so spending that on a watch I take off the moment I come home, would be odd as well, to me :)

The Steinhart I reviewed a while back has, in my opinion, nicer looking end links. Don’t like the way end links like these, even on the Rolex, doesn’t flow with the full lug. But that’s a personal opinion 😊

Does not work in southern hemisphere! No Polaris to be seen! And hard to calculate exactly where South Pole is relative to Southern Cross. But also the numerals all need to be reversed since the skies are upside down ( the moon is upside down image believe me or google!)

I have a bunch of zippos and switched to their butane inserts almost five years ago. The issue for me is the inserts are very touchy. They work when they want to. They are cheap pieces of garbage. I bought the Zorro brass lighter and I purchased their butane insert as well and I have to say this is the best lighter I’ve ever had. The butane insert works every time in any temperature. The lighter itself does have a nice heft to it that you quickly get used to. Trying to go back to the zippo is impossible for me.

Try it in Buenes Aires which appears on the dial- I believe the Argentinians will agree it will not work in southern hemisphere since all directions clockwise anticlockwise would have to be reversed. Change that face if the inner ring and put a mirror image of hours and it will improve it but months will also need changing since solstices or height of sun are also reversed!! Good try though!

I have this watch. It was my first automatic watch! I wasn't a fan of the rubber strap, though, so instead of buying the replacement bracelet from Victorinox for $200 USD, I managed to get a brand-new red dial [quartz] Divemaster 500, with bracelet, for $150 USD on Amazon. I harvested the bracelet to keep for my watch, and sold the red Divemaster for $50. Win-win for me and the person who got a $50 quartz Divemaster 500. LOL!!

Evaporation doest mean anything if you use your lighter everyday. A Zippo - or a Zorro, for that matter - isn't meant to go days or weeks without being used.

I just received this watch ( in pink) from ebay ( excellent feedback) and the solar battery is so low that nothing works . From what I have read , should I put it outside now in direct sunlight ? How will I know if the watch is working ? How many hours would you say it takes to get even a low or medium indicator ? This is my first solar watch so Im not experienced with these. Thank you for any help .

The JLC is very typical of the style of small rectangular art deco-ish watches popular in the 1930s. There are lots of vintage options like this on eBay. They lack the reversing function (for what it's worth) but have a curved back (sits much better on the wrist).

Yes it’s nice but I have ordered 2 Both times the anticipated delivery was extended Recently CW set up a new manufacturing facility and they used customers money to keep them afloat without cash flow problems. I don’t trust them any longer. I also have a c60 trident but there are many micro brands who will give you a selita dive watch at a cheaper price. I ordered a separate bracelet for this which was very uncomfortable to wear and scratched easily Don’t buy from CW
