Interesting video. I wonder what other gemstones and semi precious gemstone these miners find? Or do they even look for anything else? I would think they would try and maximize their profits and look and collect anything resellable.

Judging by the listed gemstones purchased on the wall of one of the buyers in the video they find ruby, sapphire, tourmaline, aquamarine (and probably goshenite).

You can marvel at the Sri Lankan Master. He didn't need any gauges to measure . It was pure feel and what was in his brain. A true artist. No amount of AI will take out this unique human skill. Burmese Rubies would have been even better but not much is coming out of there. If you need the best gem cutters go to Sri Lanka.

I had purchased one of these stone pendant from Ali express in 2018. It was a green pendant smaller in size with the same photo Luminous property, the seller called it Luminous Flourite stone. But the strange thing is that I had locked it away in a suitcase for months and when one i opened it up it had a faint afterglow. Now i have Masters degree in physics so i was a little worried. There are 2 types of these stone, one is Lighter shade of green in appearance with less of the sparkling on the surface, this one glows green, blue green and sky blue. Then there is another one which is Dark green in appearance and has lots of sparkling on the surface, which glows Dark blue. Under short wave UV, they fluorescence and when u swtich off the light u can see it phosphorescence, both green in colour.

They're fantastic but they seem extremely dark compared to many classic Burmese stones, I can't help but feel they're marketed aggressively- not because they're the best rubies, but because they're the most profitable for mine owners and dealers. They're not lively "glowy" gems.

Meh. I'm not impressed. I got a 52.5 carat Ruby off of Amazon that looks better than that. And I only paid $40 for it. lol
@dustybrown45996 ай бұрын
It's hard to tell if you're naive, joking, or trolling. You most likely bought red glass or a composite 'ruby,' definitely not a natural, untreated ruby. Amazon sells fake gems. It may serve a purpose for you, but it's not even close to the gem in the video. I don't doubt that yours could look better though.

@@jimjam6598 Lab ruby is easy to make. That's why it's funny to me that people would spend millions of dollars on rubies just because they were dug out of the ground. What if someone figured out how to make synthetic gold. Would dirt gold be worth more than lab gold just because it was dug up? People are so silly. XD
