Замечательное видео!🤗 Большое спасибо авторам! Жаль, что выложили только два года назад, информация в фильме устарела на пятнадцать лет.

What an entertaining documentary. Interesting, educational but not dry and boring. I loved the music and the people. And the WuWu dance was epic !! This documentary makes one appreciate the rarity and value of a beautiful gemstone. Mother Earth does not give up her treasures easily !!!

Very informative Video. You have done a great job by visiting the mine areas and associated areas of mining, the weather, the security risks, the rural area risks etc.

Very interesting, people can see how difficult it is to mine those stones and how special each gem is.

What? Only 200pcs of >10ct blue sapphire rough per year? Really????? I wonder if the number is much higher these day
@Jackaroo.
@Jackaroo. Жыл бұрын
Probably not. Sapphires over 10 carats are extremely rarely.

The mine owners are providing work to people. In other words they are generating employment opportunities. Why are you discouraging them. Salary slab may be prevailing according to local demand and supply of labour as per local conditions of area.

Anne Look at the wars in the Middle East and how the U.S. has forced others to use US dollars. Lybia wanted to sell oil priced in gold and the country was taken out by the U.S. The U.S. government can print money cause other countries use dollars for international transactions sadly. A lot of waste is caused by the government yet few Americans complain. It’s like the movie the big short where at the end the guy is like when the stock market crashes we get blamed but the American public loves us when we make debt or mortgages cheaper for them to borrow and causes asset prices to go up. I’d prefer the devastation of gold mining or silver mining to have sound money. If you’re truly an environmentalist you gotta recognize endless wars exist because of fiat currency and the government can spend almost whatever it wants and has. The U.S. defaulted of declared bankruptcy in 1971 but then they got opec to sell oil in dollars and that saved the U.S. global power. But fiat dollars allows for endless war, consumption and theft of purchasing power from workers. Do you know how much pollution the environmentalist democrats are releasing by fighting the war in Ukraine? It’s a massive amount of pollution especially when you consider a lot of inputs are produced abroad and then assembled or sent to the U.S. to support the military.

It disgusts me that the diggers are paid so little.

Hi, I tend to agree although it was a decade ago and must be updated. Please notice that there is diversity in payments. 1. Work on your own and share the risk of finding nothing and than if you find offer it to a agent 2. get payed anyway, not worry about anything on the risk of finding nothing 3. Get the machines leased and work and auction every day your finding on the spot as group 4. The hand labour is abandoned and replaced by use of heavy equipment. The workers are sometimes choosing between these options. It is amazing that they sometime choose version 2 with abviously very low pay that seems so unjust to us (but they choose sometimes this version because oflow living costs and have sometimes very nice simple and happy living conditions in the village that is priceless). The movie shows this realities and we did not judge the situation but our viewers can do so of course.
