It looks a lot like the mpd 16 it would be nice if akai offered USB drivers for the mpd16. The thing still works fine with midi but simply no drivers made for the thing, makes no sense.

Putting the screws for the bass pedal in the carpet is a game changing idea! The sticky thing that came with it keeps coming undone on my kit. I wound up just using a 30lb barbell to hold the pedal in place. I like your way more! I use Flor carpet tiles, so I don't mind putting holes in the carpet.

hey btw, you should NOT be using fl asio, you need a focusrite or something similar and you should use the focusrite usb driver asio ONLY. This has zero delay as it bypasses windows, fl asio still has a lot of lag.
