it's been over 2 months now and I can't still have my grip back. I was a local champion then, now a steady 26 hitter. and I feel like the more I try to get it back, the more I lose it. so frustrating and contemplating giving up the darts for good.

I avoid outdoor play at all costs. Darts just don't fly the same, wind or no wind. Having the roof at a certain height, makes all the difference.

I throw a couple thousand darts a day minimum but most importantly I don’t miss a day of hitting 46 double 16’s. 46 is my age. It’s an ocd thing at this point. The day isn’t over till I hit 46.

All great advice. I might add another which helped me. That would be your stance at the oche. Make sure you have a really comfortable stance. Watching the pros you might be tempted to turn yourself inside out to match their stances. I found I started to have leading leg pain with my stance so I dropped back to a completely natural standing stance (not leaning toward the board at all) and facing the board more. What a difference. Oddly it also helped with the occasional bouts of Dartitis because I am much more relaxed.

I just can't understand how any person can try to coach! Or try telling others how to play. The key in darts is 95% in the head. Anyone can throw a dart and hit 180s etc.. It's down to bottle,which nobody can teach. The main thing to do is to extend your full arm and make sure the release is the same at all times. That's my advice. Practice over and òeer but not to much. Nobody can coach a player,the player should always know what he is doing wrong.
@BullshotDarts
@BullshotDarts 18 күн бұрын
I don’t tell others how to play, rather give some tips to try out and see if it works for the player. I always say, at the end of the day you need to do what feels comfortable, but that doesn’t mean one can’t take advice and test it out and see if it works.

Throwing too much before a tournament can also cause starting the match with a heavy arm an hurting shoulder

League nights, warming up before we start the night. However, when my first match is about 45 minutes later, I get cold again and only get a few visits before my match starts. Nothing you can do.

Love this ... great idea honestly , only issue that still is gonna be a problem for tournaments I say that because yes you can get there as early as you like and warm up , feeling great throw well ,win the first match but then..... you sit for 25 -30 waiting on next match and there are no boards available during this time .... I can't tell you how many times this has happened to me where the wait has taken me out of the tournament, 6darts before the match starts clearly is not enough for me then I feel rushed and uncomfortable any suggestions
@BullshotDarts
@BullshotDarts 18 күн бұрын
Definitely! I’m usually board hunting between matches lol the second one opens up I hop on. Sometimes there’s 4+ people on it, but it’s better than nothing. But yeah I think I’ll make another video on how to use down time at tournaments to stay ready, have had a couple similar comments

For me I like to have an hour of throwing in a 2 hour space. A lot of the tournaments I go to, the venue opens 2 hours before. So I often do around 20 mins on then 20 mins off. Doing more minutes in the final 30-40 minutes if I feel I need it. Good advice!
