Thank you, I use a GoPro hero 8 black which has built in GPS and Telemetry as standard, you just have to make sure the GPS setting is turned on on the camera before recording, then I load the GoPro MP4 file into a piece of software called “Telemetry Overlay” which I paid about £60 for and you can put what ever gauges on it you want to and render 4K video from this software. It reads the telemetry data from the MP4 file. I would have thought the Hero 7 black would work in the same way. Hope this is helpful. I know what you mean about the bug, this sport gets so addictive!

I know people started leaving quite early to go home, session 7 was even quieter. This trackday didn’t sell out for our group, which is unusual

@@gjrendle That is incredible! So Go Pro is recording on the bike and Telemetry is used later on?

@@JacobCryptoBury yes the GoPro has GPS built into the camera as well as gyros and other sensors, so the software just extracts that data from the GoPro MP4 files

Hi Richard, yes I agree. This was my first time at this track so I thought I probably shouldn’t go into the fast group until I had done a day in the inters, but looking at it your right I could have just gone straight to the fast group and had cleaner lines. Thank you for watching

You did OK passing cleanly but there are guys there who couldn't find a racing line with GPS... Look forward to seeing how you get on in the fast group there.

Hi Samo, yes as long as the GPS setting is turned on in the GoPro setting it records all the data in the gopro video files

Hi East London Jon! Great name mate! I am using a GoPro hero 8 black which has GPS built in and that records all the telemetry data with the video. Hi James, Sorry I have only just spotted your comment. I would say I am in the bottom 30 percent in terms of pace in the advanced group, but I prefer that because in the intermediate group I am constantly overtaking people and having to go off the optimal lines all the time, which doesn't always help to improve my riding and I tend to pickup bad habbits by doing so. I am running Supercorsa SC1 or Metzeler K1's with tyre warmers and they work great, haven't tried slicks yet.

I was doing international layout (Melbourne etc) in 1:42 on a standard R1 back in 2006. That pace was fine if no BSB guys using the day for practice. These days I’d say the pace is going to be 1:30s to 1:40s to be safe in the fast group.

thanks Abhi, It was great weather. was very interesting riding in that heat because I found that the tyres where getting so hot they move around more when cornering in a way i haven't experienced before. the clutch cable gave up after session 4 and didn't have a replacement, but the first four sessions were great.

@@Officialnrb Hi I think it’s reasonably accurate although it can lag a little bit as you may notice in the video, it generally shows up to 45 degrees of lean angle and I am getting right to the edge of the tyre. The tyre is a 60 profile and 180 wide, so very U shaped

Thanks Abhi, that’s part of the reason I bought this bike. I rode on the back of an older 3 cylinder Daytona when I was a kid in secondary school and just mesmerised by the sound. Funny how you were listening to it while you work 😂 I am off to Donington this weekend to watch WSBKs, then I have a loud No Limits trackday on Tuesday at Donington so you’ll have some more music to listen to shortly!!

@@ChasingTenths yes if it stays dry, there should be a good amount of grip especially on the K1 rear and SC1 front. It would be great to meet up on track mate one day and I am sure we will at some point.

@@ChasingTenths thank you Abi, that’s much appreciated and thank you for watching, I seem to flow ok on this circuit, but still much to learn. I did Cadwell Park for the first time a few weeks ago and I love that circuit, but I was a bit messy there in places and did some pretty special grass tracking a couple of times to the point where it showed up on the GPS shape of the track!! Had a really great time there though and can’t wait to get back again.

haha! yes I think someone in the lower group decided to go for a long ride around the track until he had emptied out all the oil!

Yes I do have a bit of a disadvantage on the straights, however I still have huge room for improvement in the corners, lean angle and hitting all the apexes correctly, but if I keep at it, I will improve over time.
