Nice video. Thanks. FYI your brake line is routed in-between your steering head and riser. It was installed like this at the factory and is an assembly error BRP has since corrected. But this causes premature wear on your brake line and the cable next to it that runs through the same spot. As a suggestion, I took mine and disconnected the riser at the bottom and rerouted the line and cable on the outside of that. This eliminates any spots on the brake line caused by direct contact with the steering head and bottom of the riser. And the cable and brake line is freer when you steer the sled.

We are just starting out with this hobby, and I'm wondering how long it takes to travel from Verona to Sharbot Lake and then from there to Calabogie on the trail? We're planning that route as a trip over a few days, but I'm not sure how long the journey will actually take. Thanks for putting this video together cheers

When it comes to trail riding if the back portion of the skid is left to float do you find you fight to keep the front end on the ground? I get that some guys like to wheelie, but I'd be more interested in keeping the skis planted with razor sharp handling. Can you get this out if this skid with the right settings? Does the sled push if you lock the rear skid to stop the articulation?
@SideX_Each10 ай бұрын
I would say the sled turns better than expected for the size, weight, and length of it. It can shred trails quite well. Although the front end will come up with enough throttle for sure, but you're not usually smashing the throttle mid corner. You could counter that for sure with suspension settings. But either way, not a deal breaker or a big deal really.

Great, comprehensive review Side X Each. Well done! I'm in the market for one of these used. I see some of the ones listed as having new motors. Usually around the 6-7000 kms mark. Is this something I should be aware of? Do you know of any recalls or issues with these engines? Thanks
@SideX_Each10 ай бұрын
Nothing specific I know of. But I have seen these engines go over 20,000 km as long as they are not to the pin 90% of the time like on a mountain sled. Any luck finding one? Sorry, I'm wayyy behind on comments haha...

Honestly, I could wash my Corvette in half the time and effort you put in foaming, blocking vents, blow drying, cleaning wheels, and towel drying. I have NOT put ceramic, wax, buffer, or anything on my paint and will never for the life of my car and my paint surface will look as good as yours in any amount of time. How you ask? Go to autozone, buy yourself a synthetic chamois for less than 15 dollars, it will last you the life beyond your Corvette. Then get some Simonize car wash detergent, along with a soft microfiber small towel. Fill the bucket with water and a couple of caps of the Simoniz soap. Never put anything on your paint surface ever as far as chemicals or sprays. Total waste. Wash with microfiber small towel rinsing towel in bucket occasionally. When done dry your paint surface in the sunlight, with the synthetic chamois. Wipe surface with chamois getting large amounts of water 1st. Then go back over detailing all paint surfaces. If the water dries on the surface no problem since any amount of pressure is applied with chamois, water spots will wipe right off. Never use pressure washers, never use wax and never apply anything using a buffer. Our clear coat is one third the thickness of a post it note, the more abrasiveness or towels being applied to the surface will result in diminishing the thickness of the clear coat. As far as the interior goes I'll just mention carpet for now, wipe out the flooring with a damp microfiber rag from your soap bucket. The rag will pick up as good as a vacuum. Try it. I will put my C8 with 18g miles against anyone's paint surface under the brightest sunlight, it's flawless. Rapid Blue by the way but it wouldn't matter even if it were black.
