The Farmer is the minimum I would want to have on me outdoors because it has a lot of great qualities for such a minimalist tool. Though, I would much prefer to have the slightly larger 08 Soldier's knife on me for its own amazing capabilities. The wavy edge blade on it is highly underrated and misunderstood by most people.
@toolgearАй бұрын
So what is the purpose of the wavy edge?
@Tony-zp8xnАй бұрын
@@toolgearThe best way I can explain it is it's like mild serrations. It's easy to sharpen, easy to get shaving sharp, help keep the edge, and it does an absolute amazing job at feathering for fire prep. The blade still carves well enough for things like a bow drill set, or a bow saw frame. Think of it like "a serrated blade done right."

You put the wrong gasket on between the carburetor and the black plastic insulator. The gasket you installed first, needed to go between the engine block and the insulator. Then the gasket that has a small hole located within it, next to the main hole in the gasket. This is important to get correct so the carb can bent properly. This was likely causing the surging problem. The 3rd(last) gasket you did put on correctly. Peace out. 😎✌

It’s the ultimate set up to pair the knipex with a victorinox for sure! I just switched to it a few weeks ago and I like it waaay more than my powerpint. I think the type of victorinox can vary for people. I have the fieldmaster as I wanted an all around knife for the various things I do for work and personal. The full size Philips is super important to me. I also like having two tools rather than one like if you went with the leatherman. Just add a flashlight to your setup and you are golden! FANCY! In the Marine Corps, we had cheap Chinese knockoff tools, couldn't tell you a name/brand. If we broke/lost a tool (wrench, socket, whatever), we had to replace, with our own money, with any brand. I grew up a Craftsman man, so when I got out, I bought a Master Mechanic set for myself. I wouldn't trade my OG USA Craftsmen tools for anything. That being said, honestly, thinking about buying a whole new set, because I'm scared to break one of those and my OCD can't help breaking up my set of wrenches and sockets.
