@@toolgear just received an M as a gift my parents brought back from their trip across Europe. They got me the M/34 one and had it customized with my name. Looking forward to getting familiar with the many uses I can make of it and actually happy my name is on it so it should be less likely to get lost or 'borrowed' for too long at work haha

This has been my most carried tool for the past year, I think its a little bit hefty (tends to fall out of my pocket when I sit) and 34 tools is kinda dishonest when you count each side of each bit as a tool etc, but generally I think that if this had a better knife blade and a decent pocket clip it would be the perfect daily carry for me! I put a N52 magnet at the bottom of the bit driver on mine so I can take 4 of any standard 4mm bits with me since I dont use most of the ones it comes with, seriously considering stripping it down and replacing the scales and knife blade with something better too!

Yeah, they love to count every little thing as a “tool”

Do you mind share what sugar of magnets and how many of them did you used? Also you have glued them? I have handyman which I love, last week came swiss champ as I tend to use Philips and prefer the one inline but I am not sure if I want to EDC swiss champ in my pocket as it may look not that much bigger than handyman but you can feel the difference, and was thinking about explorer but it's like 45-50euro 😂, while I paid 58euro for my swiss champ brand new, so now I ordered Cybertool M 70euro a bit crazy price looking that that you can get spirit x for around 100 or swiss tool 120euro (spirit x I also own) but must say that actually those little pliers and screwdrivers + scissors and knife are my most used tools, when I go on vacation somewhere out of city then handyman will be my EDC as I use wood saw or file tinkering. It's so hard to find a decent Victorinox, I plan to build my own while.i.will go on Christmas to my family, if this bit driver will work good may mod it maybe we will see. Thanks

@@TheInchii its a N52 3x2mm, used a wooden toothpick (because when the magnet touches, everything becomes magnetic) to push it all the way down and flip, then when i was happy I used the same toothpick to place a single drop of gorilla glue down there and let it sit over night

@@kvernesdotten i just got Cybertool M and put 4x2 mm magnet inside, it sits so tight that no bit is able to take it out, only way to do it is to take pile of same magnets like 10 put them in and then you can take it out, so no need to glue it, and hold stronger than 3x2m noticably. But what I am afraid is how those double sided bits from Victorinox sits, I would say not that strong? I need to use very little strength to take them out which worries me as it may be very easy to lost them if I would need to use it upside down. Also if I would pay 40-45euro I wouldn't mind, but I paid 75euro and now thinking about returning it. For 58euro I can have brand new vickrinox swiss champ which gonna be around 0,5mm wider but got more tools + Philips 1/2 inline and for rest 20euro I can buy decent/good ratchet for 1/4 bits for some small 4mm screwdriver.

@@TheInchii If you only plan on using the bits that came with, there is no point in adding the magnet. You dont need to worry about losing them though. The double sided ones dont sit very hard with the magnet since they are so thin, but the tab sticking up from the bit holder makes it so they cannot fall out when its closed, and when you open it to use it you obviously put pressure on the bit anyway. I dont find this to be a problem at least. If you think the swisschamp + a separate screwdriver is better, I think you should do that. Personally I already have all the tools I need so the Cybertool is just something "extra" for me, its just nice to have access to some commonly used bits when im not near a toolbox or my workshop. Its not a primary driver for me, its a backup. But we all have different wants and needs, so if that solution is better for you, go for it!

That screwdriver on the can opener was a bad deal for me. mine broke and took out half the can opener blade... different older model. user err for sure, can opener still works but is a pain beings the blade is so short now.

I wonder how you managed to do that lol

I love victorinox but they cann`t find themselves nowerdays. They need to design out of the box. Good idea with screwdrive but those plyers is a joke an maybe they dont need it inside and few tools there aswell. I see victorinox as a city or travel tool. That is why I need: Knife, Corkopener, Scissors, Screwdriver with two side bit(philips and flat), pen + all small tools, everything else might be thrown away (to make it more compact) or rethought.

Victoria Knox is diversifying into a lifestyle brand. Cologne, luggage, knives that don’t have knives. Depending on context, yes the pliers would be useless on heavy equipment, but find their place among small electronics.

the pliers are great for their intended use in this tool for smaller electronic work and I found out they could be folded up to grab and hold onto something like a wire you need to keep steady while soldering

You can always build your own custom sak, 2-3h of time, body + tools you want and just assemble, I also plan to do it.
