Shitey camera work, remember we want to see the albums not your scary mugs, and mumbling, you've lost the polot.

I have been going to Carmel Records for over 20 years. I have found some real gems in there over the years so its always worth going. Also the owner has such great knowledge and tea!

Another record store with no prices on the albums. Hate that. Prices made up when you show an interest? You'll never get a bargain in those places.

In America Vertigo records are almost unavailable. Victoria Fair, What a great place to be! And no DJT to ruin the UK, and so many great towns in the same area. Love your country!!

I am from America and didn't know Westcliff-on-Sea existed! You are so lucky to live in a fascinating country with sooo many places to see so close together!!

I love them, however I admit you're right about that.. on the UK first press of their 1974 LP the cutting engineer actually inscribed the word 'VALIUM' in the dead wax..

You should try that guy in Lee High Road (if he's still there) . Piles of records, I found some absolutely amazing prog and Krautrock records there.

Faction Bookshop? Whole area is being demolished for redevelopment so I'm guessing he's already gone.
@jeffsimon95942 сағат бұрын
@@paulskinner3966 I think he means 'Records' which is the Lewisham town centre end of Lee High Road. Didn't Faction used to be in Catford Arcade before Lee? Every time I popped in there I seemed to be the only customer, it was amazing, always had the place to myself (and I certainly found some gems there too).

You'd think something like this would be going for fairly big money, expecially as theres only 1 copy on discogs and quite a few people Want it. But no, 10-15 quid seems to be it. I've noticed that with a few albums I've looked at recently - very old, rare, and sonically amazing records just going for cheap..maybe 30 quid max. I just picked up a mint original 70s album Solstice by Ralph Towner for 15. I know theres been a reissue but I'd expect that to be 50 quid plus at least. Same for Bass Desires by Marc Johnson & Bill Frisell...how is that album not going for hundreds?? Absolutely amazing record. You collect any ECM vinyl? If not, once you start you'll be trying to get them all! I've never heard records pressed so well. Jaw droppingly good sound stage and usually absolute silent.

The rarest album I have is either Rolling Stones some girls with the celebrities on it, or Rolling Stones Sticky Fingers with the zipper or Rolling Stones their Satanic Majesties request with the leniticular cover. Or Kiss self titled 1st press. Or the Beatles white album with the serial number on it. Or Lynyrd Skynyrd street Survivors with the flames on it originally from 1977. Or Black Sabbath self titled in good condition from 1970
