This is beautiful just like the Seine River which i have never been too. I meditated for an hour and thought of a song that was inspired by this song while I zoned out I thought of a song request called "Crayon Smudges" captures the carefree, nostalgic chaos of childhood: moments of uninhibited creativity where crayons wandered off the lines, leaving imperfect, colorful streaks on paper, floors, and even hands. Green and orange old crayon streaks on a white background, with the focus is on the interplay between chaos and innocence, using textures, colors, and subtle cultural elements to evoke a Japanese childhood memory. The song evokes a sense of playful imperfection, the bittersweet beauty of nostalgia, and the randomness of fleeting memories. Scents of: Hinoki Sap, Matcha Dust, and Yamabuki . Gentle, organic-sounding static, as if mimicking the friction of crayons on rough paper. or random field recordings and a faint, off-kilter xylophone melody introduces the childlike theme. “Smudges tell a story / of a world I could once create.”

This is so beautiful! It made me think of a song actually. Song name: Shoes by the Door. A primarily Orange modern cover art with ombre shades of light orange. Ambient drone song with Kinkan, Hiba, and Akane. Drone layers, like walking through an orange-tinged twilight in a Japanese garden. The mood channels introspection, fleeting joy, and a deep connection to nature-perfectly complementing the rare Japanese-inspired fragrance notes and ambient sound. primarily orange with ombre transitions into paler oranges, almost peach or coral. The texture is soft and fluid, the genkan is the transitional space between the outside world and the sanctity of the home, symbolizing a physical and emotional boundary. Shoes left neatly by the door are a gesture of respect, humility, and cleanliness, reflecting the Japanese concept of kegare (impurity) being kept outside.resembling silk stained with light or the glow of a shoji screen at sunset.

From 46:15 on I thought of another song, I wanted to share it with you.緑金橘と房飾り (Midori Kinkitsu to Fusakazari - Green Kumquat with Tassel). Modern art cover of Greens and oranges. Picture a serene Japanese courtyard, where green kumquats grow on slender branches, their vibrant hue a jewel-like contrast against dark wooden beams. Nearby, silk tassels hang from lanterns, swaying softly in the wind, casting fleeting shadows. The song reflects this tranquil scene, a celebration of nature’s subtleties and human artistry. Sparse, minimalist piano lines mimic the small, round kumquats, paired with soft, plucked notes on a shamisen to evoke the tassels’ movement. A delicate and meditative song inspired by the small yet vibrant kumquat and the gentle sway of tassels in a breeze. This composition evokes a sense of quiet elegance, blending natural simplicity with ornamental beauty. Scent notes of : Hinoki Smoke, Green Kumquat, and Silk Accord- A soft, luxurious note that feels smooth and delicate, like tassels in motion.

Hi Emma! Your ideas always amaze me. I will work on your ideas in December/January. Thanks for your Special Ideas! Arigato
I really was inspired at 7:33, I thought of a song called レモンドロップ マンゴスチン (Lemon Drop Mangosteen) based on this song inspiration as well. Imagine a hidden tropical garden in Okinawa, where citrus groves stretch out to meet the ocean breeze. A bamboo path winds through, leading to mangosteen trees heavy with fruit. The song captures the freshness of the lemons, the soft tropical sweetness, and the serene, sunlit atmosphere. This track feels like a whimsical summer day in Japan, where the zest of lemon and the lushness of mangosteen create an exotic harmony, blending modernity with nature's timeless beauty. Subtle synth chords with a reverb effect, representing the creamy texture of mangosteen. Colors of bright green and orange, with the notes of Mangosteen Flesh, Bamboo Leaf, Ylang-Ylang Petal with A single ō-daiko (large drum) strikes in a slow, deliberate rhythm, creating a deep, resonant foundation. Just an idea.

I was thinking that this song lead to this request- 橙陽 (Touyou)- A warm and uplifting song inspired by the glow of the sun on a cold morning, painting the horizon in shades of orange and green w/gold, shades in art. Picture the moment when the first rays of sunlight break through a misty winter sky, filling the world with warmth and hope. The music captures the energy of the sun and its power to brighten even the darkest days. Gentle yet vibrant strings, such as the shamisen, representing the sun’s strength. Scent notes of Burnt Amber, Golden Osmanthus , and Aonori (Green Laver).

Ok, and I also had a more minimalist idea too. Concept 3: 静音 - Silent Tone. This third piece embraces a minimalist approach, focusing on the purity of sound and simplicity of expression. Inspired by the meeting of soft green and muted orange, it evokes the quiet elegance of a single leaf floating on still water, or a faint breeze moving through a sparse orchard at dusk. A sparse arrangement featuring a single, sustained note from a shamisen or koto, interspersed with quiet pauses for the soundscape. With scent notes of Unripe Mikan (Green Mandarin), Japanese Cypress Sap , and Bamboo Water. The concept i had for this is this song feels like an exhale-a retreat into calm, unadorned beauty. It’s a meditative exploration of silence and subtlety, letting the listener linger in the quiet spaces between notes. Like a breath or dial tone. Space between spaces.

The second song idea I had is: 暁霞 - Dawn Mist This piece takes inspiration from the interplay of soft green and light to dark ombre-orange hues, evoking the first light of morning breaking through a dewy grove. Picture a tranquil hillside where the air is crisp with citrus blossoms and a faint herbal warmth. The mist carries a quiet energy, blending freshness with a comforting feel. The sound would be a blend of ambient synth and gentle harp melodies, complemented by traditional Japanese instruments like the shakuhachi (bamboo flute) and light taiko drum beats, creating a serene yet uplifting rhythm. The music would mirror the transition from stillness to awakening, with subtle crescendos like sunlight gradually illuminating the land. The notes are: Kabosu Blossom, Matcha Tea Leaf, and Sansho Pepper Leaf. This song would feel like an homage to nature’s quiet rebirth each morning, a modern reflection of timeless Japanese aesthetics.

Hi Shimon, I had another idea for a song. Actually i have 2 ideas. The first song is: 甘露 - Sweet Dew. Orange and Green modern art (as the colors and inspiration). Picture a vibrant field where green sage and orange clementines grow under a setting sun, their scents mingling in the breeze. This space feels both contemporary and timeless, celebrating nature’s intricate dance of hues and scents. Ambient piano. The song would feel modern, with minimalist melodies layered with traditional Japanese instrumentation like the shamisen or koto. Rhythms flow like brushstrokes of color on a blank canvas, combining synth waves with natural sounds like wind or rustling leaves. Notes of Clementine Peel, Sage Leaves, and Byakuroku.

@shimon.hoshino thanks for your answer! I've been wondering because you release so many videos. Are these improv sessions? Or do you use procedural sound programming? Or do you have a backlog that you recompile for these? By the way, that video from the Bangkok gig is absolutely amazing!
