I think this will happen naturally as EV and potentially a new fuels like hydrogen that we do not even have yet. They should not need to regulate this at all. What is wild with the ethanol thing for fuel is the fact that it does turn to water pretty fast. It is a fricken nightmare for carbureted anything. In CA there is no option to not buy ethanol fuel so any small engines and motorcycles have to deal with this on a regular basis. It rots aluminum carbs so fast. It is like a mean joke. This would end immediately if truckers and boats boycotted CA.

When CARB started, all the people who didn’t fight because it “doesn’t affect me” were more shortsighted than the state of California will ever be. The government will always attempt to enforce a tyranny. You don’t join the fight then we ALL lose.

No diesel no transportation. No trains, ships or 18 wheelers. No modern tractors either. How are Commiefornians gonna eat again? Diesel is used because it’s MORE FUEL EFFICIENT than gasoline, propane, natural gas, or coal. So they want dirtier air and less available fuel for their victims “citizens”? No buses or RVs. Sounds like Commiefornia is trying to lock down everyone with a way out from fleeing whatever they have planned next.

OMG you're another left wing nut job!!!! Do you know how they get natural gas???? It is a bi-product from the oil industry. This is another lets charge our electric vehicles from a coal burning electric plant. Let alone the lithium mining to manufacture the batteries is highly toxic and polluting. This is a prime example of why the rest of the world hates us. You want to pollute other countries while you live in comfort. The truth of the matter is there is no clean energy. Even solar panels that are produced in China from coal energy and the toxic materials they have in them are also bad for the environment.

When? It's always been about fuel economy. That's why the trucking industry switched from gasoline to diesel. A fully loaded gasoline big rig in the 1960's was getting like 4mpg while a diesel was getting 8mpg. Emissions were never a consideration.
@tigerstallionКүн бұрын
@@erikkovacs3097 diesels were designed to run on vegetable oil that has less toxic emissions than typical gasoline. because diesels can run on most anything, they are typically running a byproduct of the crude oil supply chain that is far more emission-toxic than necessary or originally intended
@erikkovacs3097Күн бұрын
@tigerstallion How do you define "toxic"? Both spark ignition and compression ignition engines produce "toxic" emissions. Spark ignition engines make more Caborn Monoxide than compression ignition engines, which is instantly fatal. Compression ignition engines produce more oxides of nitrogen which produces acid rain and more particulates which can eventually lead to cancer and/or decreased life span. So pick your poison.

Definitely clickbait. It bans sale of new HEAVY & MEDIUM duty vehicles. In CA the heaviest you can go for light duty vehicle is 14,000 lbs GVWR. All modern diesel duallys are well within that rating. I don't think they should fully ban diesel for heavy & medium duty trucks i think Semis should be converted to diesel electric hybrids where the diesel is just a big ass generator for the electric motors that move the truck it's the best of both worlds really and IMO is the direction that we should be moving. Having that tech in a dually pickup would be freakin awesome too when it eventually trickles down.
