A beautiful sound, echoed in the music of Portugal's Fado. This lady sings like an angel, I thought she was singing in Spanish, then realized it is Portuguese! This music is sublime.

Lyrics "LA ROSA ENFLORECE" at 2:37 La rosa enflorece en el mes de mai mi alma se escurece firiendo ser lunar Los bilbilicos cantan en el arbol de la flor debajo se sientan los que sufren del amor Mas presto ven, querida, mas presto ven con mi Mas presto ven, palomba corre y salvame (don't know the last verse) Translation: The rose blossoms, oh in the month of May, My soul is blackening, obscuring the moon. The nightingales sing in the flowering tree, And underneath are those suffering from love. Come, my darling, come quickly to me, Come, my dove, run to rescue me. Another version of lyrics: La rosa enflorece en el mes de mai mi alma s'escurece sufriendo del amor Los bilbilicos cantan suspiran del amor y la pasion me mata muchigüa mi dolor Mas presto ven palomba mas presto ven a mi mas presto tu mi alma que yo me voy morir Thanks for this beautifull music !

When someone would sing this song on the Ed Sullivan show, probably circa 1959, my brother and I would sing, " My Dear Mr. Shane , please let me explain ...". !

This music is amazing. One can hear the Arabic Muslim musical notes being played to the rhythm of flamenco beat. It’s a great fusion of music. Thanks for this video God bless you all.

Those who do not know Ladino history have said that when they say Turk, they mean the singer of the Ladino immigrants in Türkiye.
